    1. For the friends of the Luftschutz helmets....It took a while until I got one of these-you know how difficult it is to find an M42 with a good decal! Both helmets are "EF" stamped-Nr.1 is shurly a very late one...have a look at the liner-the last of the last(model Endsieg).the chinstrab was ripped out with brute force....that's why the liner is damaged too....The other one is a little earlier helmet-good liner, good chinstrap and a good decal:collector, what do you want more....... Micha Helmet 1
    2. Funny thing-I've got two EK2"FR",both with the same core.....and three "Fr"EK2-all totally different! But one of my "Fr"EK1 looks like it has got a"FR" core! Strange........ Micha
    3. It looks like a "Wa",but it could be also a "We". Ok,"We" is stamped usually at the small ring-but especially at the'14 EK2 everything is possible.....Gordon,do you think "FR" and "Fr" are just different variations of the same maker? Micha
    4. That's a beauty,George! But another one to go........it seems the '14 EK variations are endless Micha
    5. That could be! And if it was worn, then just a short time-but to tell the truth-I prefer my helmets in this condition....
    6. For all the friends of the Luftschutz helmets-this one dropped in today..a fine, complete M40 with 100% decal! Just the chinstrap was shortened, possible by the original owner. But here are the pics.... Micha
    7. Hi Don, that's a real killer helmet! Luftschutz helmets are my 2nd collecting field...especially captured and reissued helmets! Do you have more LS helmets? The most collectors are into the combat ones....... Regards Micha
    8. From what I can see it's a M40......and I think it's a "Q" stamp iside! Nice helmet,John Micha
    9. Here I would like to show you my personal favourite-this "Silber" marked 1914 EK1 with a blued sheet metal core.I love the filigran crossarms! But my search is not over now.....there's also a variation with a "938"stamp......and of course a screwback ! Micha Obverse
    10. Hi Christophe, could you post this EK in the iron cross section? I like these imperial ones........ Micha
    11. @Don-I know who you mean . Some of you have seen the pics of my collection-I'm one of the collectors who display the iron crosses without the ribbon....why? The answer is easy-especially the 1914 EKs came very often just with a little rest of the ribbon-and that makes it hard to display them in propper way.! And the 2nd reason is-I don't want to have my EKs in a frame at the wall....just my 2 cent! Micha

    13. Hallo everybody, Gordon shows a pair of 1914 screwback EKs in a case of Rothe&Neffe. But I've never seen a R&N EK somewhere else! So do R&N EKs exist?Or did they bought them somewhere else and put them into their cases? When I remember right, there are just 3 different hallmarks:!Meybauer,AWS and Rothe&Neffe. But R&N I've seen just at a few cases-never at the iron crosses. My question to you-do you have a Rothe&Neffe stamped iron cross 1st class? And another question to Gordon-do you have some good pics of these EKs shown in your book? With best regards Micha
