    1. This one if from Bavaria -I was told it's the shoulder board for the coat. The Kgl. Bayer. 3. Infanterie-Regt. Prinz Karl von Bayern has got a cypher so this is the Kgl. Bayer. 3. Feldartillerie-Regt. Prinz Leopold ??
    2. F?silier-Regt. Prinz Heinrich von Preu?en (1.Brandenburgisches) Nr.35
    3. Next one-One year volunteer from Kgl. Bayer. 10. Feldartillerie-Regt.(Erlangen) III Bayerisches Armee Korps
    4. Some more.... For a one year volunteer of the Feld-Artillerie-Regt. von Scharnhorst (1. Hannoversches) Nr.10 (Hannover) X Armee Korps
    5. Well, just a few was my first thought.......when I've started with iron crosses. It could be the same now.But yes,I got the 3 Sachsen at the same time. And I like them and so I will try to find the others. there are not too many saxon regiments so may be I can get them in the rest of my lifetime.Unfortunately the other shoulderboards I got today are not saxon-but they are nice enough to collect them. Micha
    6. Well, now I take part in the fascinating world of the colourful shoulderboards the reason why? More colours in the display . here the 1st pair-the 102-Kgl. S?chs. 3. Infanterie-Regt. K?nig Ludwig III von Bayern Nr.102
    7. That's a beauty! And no one is questioning the maker...... Micha
    8. I agree with you about the time frame. But no Deumer! Still an unknown maker(who produced also 1st classes).Your example seems to be much better than the one in my collection...the very most of these crosses have a big loss of paint at the coer so you can be lucky to have this one! Micha
    9. I'm alive again.......and I'm late .Tonys page is a very good reference for Uniforms and helmets-but there are quite a lfew questionable makers listed. A while ago I've started to collect all clearly readable markings at the SDA forum. Just the markings, not the core ore frame variations. In the next step I will try to collect pictures of the markings.Gentlemen-you should think about that we don't know more than a hand full makers! Every thing else is pure speculation! Same at the 1st class-which makers are really identified? Maybe CD800,or Hansen and Godet. the lonly "G" could be Godet-but can we be sure? is S-W really Sy and Wagner? And WS...Wagner&Sohn? Why the scratch mark "W" at all other awards and "WS" at the iron crosses?.The imperial iron crosses are my main collecting field and I hav to say we don't know anything about the makers behind the markings.Even "KO",the major producer(or retailer, who knows) is to the day unknown....... Micha
    10. That's not easy,Chris! my own example has some rust....and I really don't like rusty iron crosses in my collection! Micha
    11. That piece surprised me at the Flohnheim show! And I would have been an idiot not to pick it up! Not easy to find-and in that condition ....A few blued core pieces are still missing, but who knows, may be this could be a good collecting year! Micha
