    1. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam (May his soul be at God's right hand in Irish). That's really shocking and sad news. My condolences to his family and close friends.
    2. Next slightly different Irish ribbon bar that I picked up a week ago locally from Dublin. Non-standard painted/plastic covered ribbon bar for an Irish peacekeeper!

    4. Thank you so much Giller! That's great information! This document came out in Estonia and actually it has been fixed on the back as well, using local Estonian newspaper - so, probably he didn't return .
    5. ah crap! I paid lots of money for that (at least for me) as an earlier version and now, when I wanted to let it go, find out that it is actually much more common version Anyway, thank you for clarification and speedy replay as always!
    6. Hi all, Just to be sure - is this ferrous (magnetic) VOKhR cap badge from the second half of 40s? Kind Regards, Noor
    7. Here are more photos that I found last month.... These are all Estonians who served during the WW2 in the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8th_Estonian_Rifle_Corps Especially I like the portrait with the man who has Order of Glory and Victory over Germany. First, on the back the note indicates a little town where originally I am from. Also dedication is pretty deep "In memory of difficult days, dark times".
    8. Thank you!!! And last question - to you ever sleep? You are always answer so promptly.
    9. From what period this last medal would be from? Archive research is ordered, so can't wait to see a result. Noor
    10. Amazing materials and great shots! My trip is now over and back in Dublin. Result is here (I think best find was Sergei Dubinin's set!) but I kind a like metal as well:
    11. Ah, thank you! Very impressive uniform anyway.... I was guessing much higher rank myself some how
    12. Hi, One of my today's pick ups.... a great photo of some kind of "komandir" from 1942. Can someone please help me with his position and name behind please...
    13. Thank you very much! I was able randomly pick up a box where I found as well (buried under junk) his docs/portrait.... including that diploma and all his other papers. A guy served during WW2 and retired as a pod-polkovnik 1972.
    14. Hi all, Here is one interesting award that I have but I can't find much extra regards the owner. Not so many of them around as well when I tried to get my answer on internet. Perhaps someone can advise me where I can find more out about the owner of the medal if it is possible at all? Also unit.... This one is named to "C.S.M. R.A.CARSWELL RL.RIFL. of C.
    15. Ah, kolooda is called here in Estonia. I have been here 3 weeks already and messing up all the languages .
    16. Next find again - saved from the scrap silver box. This one was surely on the small kolooda...
