Hello I found this colour page in a "Signal" magazine. It shows italian medals from the second world war. I don't know if it is of any interest, but I decided to post it anyway. I'm sorry that the quality isn't the best. It is only a photo I took with my camera. Snoopy

Luftwaffe My first Drill tunic
Snoopy replied to Paul R's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Hello Paul I didn't know that the Luftwaffe used this rank. I have Obersch?tse insignia for both the green and cream coloured drill tunics. All of the green rank patches in the picture are identical, and from the same manufacturer. All the best Snoopy -
Luftwaffe My first Drill tunic
Snoopy replied to Paul R's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
I totally agree. I allso have some rank insignia for drillich tunics, but since they are for an obersch?tse, I guess they would be more appropriate in the Heer forum. Snoopy -

Hello Steve Thanks, for the kind words. I am glad you like it. I was really happy, when I was offered the great coat and side cap for very little money. Snoopy -

Hello Paul I found this photo in a "Der Adler" magazine. It shows from the left, Sanit?tsinspekteurs der Luftwaffe Generalarzt Dr. Neum?ller, and Oberst?rzten Dr. S?nbrich and Dr. Martius. The photo was taken at a consert. Is there any special insignia, or waffenfarbe, that would show that the general belonged to the medical branch? Snoopy

Luftwaffe Lw lantern

Hello Enigma My lantern has never been painted. I used to own another, and I have seen several others, that all had this unpainted finish. All the best Snoopy -
Interesting. They are allmost the same, as a shoalder board, that I have posted earlier, in the Polizei & SS forum. I don't know how to make a link to my post, but I called it "Shoalder straps". Have you seen them up close, because mine is black over green. I can't tell you for certain, who used the black ones, other than what I have been told. The person I got mine from, told me that he got it from a norwegian resistance veteran, and that it was used by the lowest SD rank. I haven't been able to confirm that yet. Snoopy

Luftwaffe My first Drill tunic
Snoopy replied to Paul R's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Thank you Paul. It's great to be back. I will take som pictures of mine, as soon as possible. I took the liberty to post a photo from my collection. The soldier on the left, looks like he's wearing the white drill tunic, and the soldier on the right, I believe is wearing the green drill tunic. The mechanic's coveralls, are allso being worn, by some. All the best Snoopy -

Hello Paul That's a nice collection of field gear. The drill tunic and field gear, look great. Do your bread bag have any unit stamps? Snoopy -

Hello Paul Great looking drill tunic. I like it a lot. I have two drill tunics, but not as nice as yours. I have one white, and one in the same colour as yours. Snoopy
