    1. Hi Bob Thanks for showing the pictures. That's a great looking tail wheel, complete like this, it must be very rare. I actually believe that I have seen it on Collector's guild. You have a lot of great stuff in that photo. What's the tiny, droptank shaped thingy, in the middle of the photo? They really do have a great collection of aircraft in Canberra. Several Messerschmidt's and a Lanc, wow! Snoopy
    2. Hello Staying with the Messerchmidt theme, I decided to post this sheet, from a pad. It was used for navigation. I have a few of these sheets, in my collection. They where found in the mangled cockpit section of a Bf 110 C-0, that where dug up from a field in Norway, only a few years ago. This aircraft was probably shot down by a norwegian Gloster Gladiator, on the 9th of april 1940. It belonged to 1. staffel/Zg 76, and was flown by leutnant Ehrard Kort and Heinrich Bockheimer. The sheets, still smelled of aviation fuel when I got them. Maybee, the fuel preserved the paper. I allso have a piece of parachute silk, from the aircraft. Snoopy
    3. Hi David It doesn't look like it's for a specific aircraft. "The aircraft mechanic's manual has been prepared to bring to the man in the shop, the man who makes the airplane, all the basic data which he needs each day." quote, from the preface of the book. The preface allso mentions the Grumman aircraft corporation. From the content list, it looks like it covers mostly aircraft part standardization, different metals and other materials. Snoopy
    4. Hi Nesredep I believe that you are right. They are not easy to find. I have only heard about one more. Snoopy
    5. Hello Nesredep Glad you like the model. Snoopy
    6. Thanks Michael. I have to admit that the P-40, is one of my favourite aircraft. In my unbuilt pile of models, I have an early Allison engined P-40. The scale of that one is 1:32. I'm just waiting for some spare time. Snoopy
    7. Hi Carol Glad you like it. I have allways liked building aircraft, with unusual markings, or at least markings, not often seen in the modelling world. I think that the romanian markings, make the Henschel a very colourful aircraft. One other reason is that it's late war, a period that I am particularly interested in. Like the finish airforce, these aircraft fought against and alongside the Soviet Union, hence the change of markings in both airforces. I find that interesting. All the best Snoopy
    8. Hi This is my early Messerschmidt Bf 109 E-3. The scale is 1:48. I chose to model it in the markings, of a Bf 109, that was based in Norway. It belonged to II/Jg 77. I am sorry for the blurry pictures. The model is made from a Tamiya kit. I hope you like it. Snoopy
    9. Hi This is an aircraft mechanics manual, that I have in my collection. This edition is dated 1944. Snoopy
    10. Hi I'm not shure where to post this one. I decided to try it here. It's i little souvenir from the pacific. It's some sort of shell, with the text painted on, in olive drab paint. I bought it for about one dollar, in an antique shop. I was told that it was brought back to Norway, by a norwegian merchant ship captain. There was several other shells, but this was the only with text. I hope you like it. Snoopy
    11. Hi This is my P 40 N. The scale is 1:72. It's made from a Hasegawa kit. Snoopy
    12. Hi I would like to show you my Henschel Hs 129. I chose markings for a romanian aircraft from late 1944. The scale is 1:48, and it,s made from a Hasegawa kit. Snoopy
    13. Hi Bob Thanks for showing the pictures. The Bf 109 is fantastic. Hats off for the people who decided to keep it in this condition. The "Schnaufer" fin, is a real gem. The weapon in the picture, looks like it comes from an upward firing "Schr?ge musik" installation. It's a shame that the Me 163 was repainted, but still, it's a great example, of one of the oddest looking combat aircraft. Snoopy
    14. Hi Sadolch That measuring helmet must be rare. Interesting helmet. I like it a lot. Snoopy
    15. Beautiful ship. I am happy, that she's preserved. Snoopy
    16. Hello I have had this shoalder board for many years now. I seem to remember, that it came from a veteran of the norwegian resistance movement, via a friend of mine. I was told at the time, that it was for one of the lowest ranks of the SD. I'm not good at describing colours. To me, it doesn't look dark green, or it might be a bit faded. The material of the underlay looks more like cotton. If anyone can help me with this one, I would be grateful. Snoopy
    17. Hi Bob That's a really nicely presented collection of patches. Snoopy
    18. This is my aircraft instruments. I guess, that not all of them can be related to the Bf 109. Snoopy
    19. Hi Marcus That's what makes collecting these items fun, finding new information. What kind of aircraft do you fly? I consider myself more of an armchair aviator, and modeller. All the best Snoopy
