Does anyone knows a good book (or website) with pictures from RN divers or submariners wearing the Davis Submarine Escape Apparatus? And does anyone has an original ww2 white roll-neck sweater for sale??

Hello, I am starting to collect some Royal Navy and Merchant Navy stuff from ww2.I have a couple of caps right now, 3 RN and one MN. A RN map and some belongings from my grandfather who was in the Dutch Merchant Navy in the war. I don't have any documentation on uniforms etc. Does anybody knows a good book with pictures about that?

Markings on the arithmic ruler, used on marinschule Kiel.

My anemometer is marked with an eagle and MSS. I have Hans Seegers book about the binoculars and the MSS is also shown and mentioned in there but the meaning is still a mistery.. Possible is Marine Signal Station which i don't believe, Maybey something wich ends with "Schule" from school..

Hello Gents, A picture of my small collection of Kriegsmarine items, located in the Netherlands. I will post another one and I have also more detailed pictures available.

Thank you Michel and Gordon, I read this and another militariaform frequently but these where my first posts. I saw a lot of pictures both your collections and most of them are saved in my documents:) I am glad with your opinions but the "source" is thrustworthy and has them in his collection for about 30 years, they came with estate sales with original uboat items.. I will ask some better pictures and post them overhere for a second opinion. I always stayed off the german awards for the enormeous quantity (and quality) of fakes but I wil continue to do some research and one day I will have an original uboatbadge or clasp!

Also for this one I hope someone can help me. As I said I collect Kriegsmarine I have a small collection with some equipment (sextant, barometer, anemometer, stopwatch, and some more) I am more and more interested in Uboat items and these items look great and original to me but are they? You never know these days..

I hope someone can tell me more about this insignia!

I am not an expert on kriegsmarine awards but items like these would fit great in my collection but they must be originals. Please help I post as many pictures I can! In the other topics I will post a uboat clasp and a Uboat embroidered badge.
