Thank you , I couldn't belive as I saw this number for the first time. Maybe one day will be able to find out who was the bearer and why he got this order. As long we see positiv number on order it's Ok - it will be interesting when we start to see negative numbers.

Yes, you are right. It is pitty that there is no documentation. I'm using 'Yugoslavia Army Insignia & Decorations 1918 - 1990' but even this book covers not all medals. Good sample is VIS Medal issued in 1966 and given to member of general stuff and Tito comrades from Vis island. There is no information about this medal in this book. There are probably far more examples like this one. I found another medal za povodom 30 godina pobjede - and I couldn't find any information about this medal in this book. I have an impression that there are far more medals which maybe are still uncovered. What catalog or book are you using?

Congratulation Soviet, award has low serial number an even a document. Maybe one day we will be able to reconstruct this spot ot the history. It seems to me that it will be difficult job. I hope that the bearer of awards had benefits in Ex-Yugoslavia. And if yes then there were Lists of Persons who were awarded in order to manage the benefits. Maybe It will help us to find this out. We are certainly at the begining - but as always at the beginn it is very interesting. I strongly support out project to start work an our catalog. Again congratulations wlodzimierz

Gentlemen, 'VIS' Medal Information from Internet: 'During late stages of WW II Tito directed his troops from Island of Vis.
