I think most of us are checking the dealers and auction sites every day............. or even more often If you have a rare not often seen bar on a dealers site you simply will not have the time to ask for opinions - because while you are asking others are buying , and not because you are posting it.... "normal" or "standart" bars that are showing up more often because of their combinations often given to soldiers you can show and discuss for shure - because there is not a 100 metre sprint final to get it... ;)

That would make more sense then that they are missing....

Bad weather tonight..........could not sleep...........but I found no paymaster with that combination Best suspect I can offer , maybe someone can check this with any source for a AEZ or RAO after 1905 , is : Festungs-Oberbauwart Demmerle from Mainz , listed in the DOA 04/05 with KO4 , EK2 , HssP5X , D70/71 and PrZM I know the DA is missing , but the DOA is often not complete with all entries........

Hi Hardy, you have the wrong guy...... The one Luc is looking for is Rittmeister Georg Freiherr von Diepenbroick-Grüter , Kürassier Regiment 4 , 1906 z.D. with the uniform of this regiment.... had Centenarmedal , RAO4 and Johanitter Ehrenritter , not Rechtsritter...... cheers Heiko

I just checked some ranklists and of course found some of this family - but no one that is a Rechtsritter des Johanitterordens.....and there are no first names for these listings in the rank lists. Maybe he became a Rechtsritter after his military career...?

Claudius, this medal bar is built up in a prussian mounting precedence - so this one in last place is the first "foreign" not prussian award on the bar...everything ok with it!

As a paymaster with KO4 and AEZ he must have had more than the 9 year service medal , no? I would guess the two missing pieces were awarded as a cilvil man , not in military service anymore.....

Nice bar Rudi..... I would say we have two possibilities for the missing pieces: 1. KO4 + AEZ2 or 2. KO3 + RAO4 seems to be the bar of a NCO and later official (some sort of...) , in my eyes - unfortunately - no (or nearly no...) way to find him ... But again , very nice bar !!! Grüße Heiko
