    3. .............I have an interesting one too............ If you have a medal bar with hooks on the frontside..... you should use them and put some medals there Please note the not too often seen ribbon for the colonial medal 1912 !!! unfortunately without clasp...
    4. very nice combination , seems a bit civil with some military influences , some kind of diplomatic service or someting like that ( Ey Rick - that could be again a black-white noncom ribbon....) photo is taken in Turkey !!!
    5. Ulan.............. you don`t understand some things... The Centenarmedal was given out in 1897 to all Vets of the former wars 1870/71 , 1866 and 1864 AND to all active PRUSSIAN soldiers in 1897 + some police , court personal etc... BUT NOT TO BAVARIAN SOLDIERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Kriegerverdienstmedaille is NOT CORRECT THERE !!! There HAS TO BE a MEZ2 (Militärehrenzeichen) and not the Kriegerverdienstmedaille that was only given to foreign troops - the Bavarian soldiers in China (of course they were there - hundreds of them) were there not as soldiers of the king of bavaria but as soldiers of the IMPERIAL GERMANY - they fought in china as germans - not as bavarians !!! the austrian medal is not my field of knowledge but if Rick says that.... I believe him... You can think what you want - the bar , the combination is crap!!! :shame:
    6. yes........ this is the colour of Oldenburg non-combattant ribbon.......... and no , don`t stay away from ebay bardains - you really can get cool things there.... you just need to raise your knowledge to buy the good bargains :D
    7. yup...............faked Better ask before buying..........and better don`t buy this "austrian stuff" at all - it really screams FFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKEE you are not the first and you will not be the last one for shure.... try to return it if you can...
    8. .............and thanks to a member of a german forum - he had Wiegand in his database (he is a Japan-supporter ) he looks very good for his age I must say - he is born 1877 !!!! so when this photo was taken he was shortly before 40 - I want to look the same in 3-4 years... :P
    9. Hi wild card, just read the old thread - great story , really !!!!!!!!! thanks for showing the bar and the story !!! Heiko
    10. So if no one wants to guess I will let you know what it is ..... it is rare enough... it is Kamerad WIEGAND as prisoner of war in Japan 1914-18 , captured in Kiautschou / China as member of the MOBILER LANDSTURM !!! never heard before of that in Kiautschou..... see the cockade !!!
    11. so he was Konteradmiral for 3 and a half months.... poor guy........ but why was he z.D. for that long time???
    12. Sascha...............what..........why............are you ok??? that cannot fit.... no way...... why should bavarians get Kriegerverdienstmedaillen for china???? noooooooooooo way :shame:
    13. yup........ that is of course a bar you can forget from time to time.... Do you have a name for that , let`s say , not too often seen combination....???
    14. I had one......... but Mr.Viceadmirals bar was in the bag of the thiefes when they left my house some years ago..... :violent:
