    1. here is the next medal bar I want to show you... some of you will remember it from the last Thies auction. The combination is very interesting and again the back is dark blue..... waiting for your comments...
    2. to say it in clear words..... there are only TWO official awards on the bar (1 + 2 from the right) and all other stuff is from veteran organizations - BUT - there are some very rare shining crosses of the warrior organizations on the bar that are not often seen - for a collector of this field this bar is the first prize...
    3. I don`t think that it is the Lazarus ribbon, it is a really mixed colour of green and yellow, in germany we call it "heugr?n"....... here is a closeup of the last ribbon....
    4. OK gentlemen.... here is the back. You are right: there are 8 ribbons and only 7 medals on the bar - BUT - there are only 7 hooks on the back and the bar is originally mounted and sewn, no repairs or add ons, nothing faked in my eyes........ so what means that?
    5. Here is the next crazy medal group I want to show you... I say nothing more, I am very interested in your comments the back is RED.... Heiko
    6. Thank you all very much for the help so far... I will show up some more bars the next days as my collection has just completely be scanned and moved back to the dark but safety bank safe now... there are some tricky and interesting bars, maybe one of the riddles can be solved.... Heiko
    7. and one more very intersting group for your enjoyment..... with the `97 and the 25y together with HHO and Austria is there an ID possible or is it too common? greetings Heiko this time with the back...
    8. Hello all, here is a interesting medal bar, not big and shiny but.....without the `97 Centenarmedal BUT WITH the 25 years officers cross he must had entered the army soon after 1897 or had some colonial years - unfortunately no battle clasp on the bar for the colonial medal.... greetings Heiko
    9. Hello all, does anyone of you have any information about a man from Baden, his name is Max Wechsler. All I know is that he got the Z?hringer L?we knights cross second class WITHOUT swords in 1896. Everything would help... his profession, more awards, some life dates.... thank you very much Heiko
    10. a businessman with three direct medical awards (prussian red cross 3. and 2.class + turkish red halfmoon) ??? Shouldn`t we concentrate on doctors with this combination? I remember the Kunstmann bar - what a beauty with even more shiny stuff on it...
    11. Jacky, I think they belong together because both appeared at the same time at the same dealer..... The saxon "merit cross" you are talking about is the cross for war aid service....so in my eyes it is a war award and has to come in front of the peacetime knight... am I right?
    12. Here are 2 medal bars from last week at Weitze.... am I right that both belonged to the same man? One pre-war bar and one ww1-bar? Would it be possible to ID this man with these 3 pre-war awards and the additional crown for the Michael on the second bar? Looks very interesting to me with this nice mixture of combattant and non-combattant war awards.... any comments are welcome. First the "pre-war-bar"
    13. Hello Bernd, I think we are still talking about this one... tientsin ribbon bar Heiko
    14. there are millions of different badges like this one around.... germany had in the early years of the 20th century thousands of shooter clubs, military clubs, veteran clubs and so on... it was a military society - they all had something like awards and orders for their members like the ones shown here. In my eyes they are worth nearly nothing - BUT as always - if you are a collector of these things they are worth a lot for you!!! (but I don`t know a lot of people who collect these things.... )
    15. it means: Sch?tzen-Gesellschaft Andertan von 1901 in english something like: shooters-club of the city of Andertan founded in 1901 This has definetely nothing to do with military service and nothing to do with the china expedition....
    16. and one more thing.... the colours of the last ribbon are either Bavarian jubilee or turkish MEDJIDIE-order but not Osmanie.... Osmanie was green with red stripes and not red with green stripes, or???
    17. Paul, I wanted to say that all the things Stogie said would be ok for me if there would be NO battle clasp....but there is one!!! the bar looks not very good made, but I think it is ok because on such a not very well made bar I would not put such a rare original battle clasp if I want to produce a fake bar... puuuh, not easy to tell in english what I want to say Again, I would say it is ok, original and old but not very nice made...
    18. just one thing to think about.......: the minis of the colonial battle clasps are ultra rare and I don`t think that someone uses one of these to build a bar like this. If I would fake a bar of that a bit poor quality I would not put a highlight like this on it...
