    3. I have only 2 things from this little state, here is a ribbon bar...
    4. Hi Rick, yes the Africa is steel... so this crown order is for lieutenants - one more thing that I know now, thank you. It was just a try for a lucky punch... I would not really have expected an ID - but with you nothing is impossible... thanks so far Heiko
    5. Hello all, here is a very nice medal bar and of course my question: is it possible to ID the owner, maybe with the combination HHO + Italien Crown...?! My problem is that I know nothing about the italien crown order... who got it? how often was it awarded? for what was it awarded? Maybe an italien expert is under us... thank you Heiko PS: Backing is grey...
    6. And that`s why I hate to live far away from every german dealer.... Great ribbon bar Christian, I am jealous, very jealous - but it has found a good home ENJOY!!!
    7. Paul, there is a thread in a german forum were many of these are shown... I had several pieces in my own collection but sold them 2 years ago. Most of the mini bars around are from 1870-1900....
    8. I know many of these mini bars here in germany BUT I have never seen one in wear.... only lapel bows or mini chains on old photos.
    9. Just a short note and a little bit off topic.... but Mr.Thies has the chance to split the next groups... He is going to pick up the collection of Tony Colson in the next days. There will be no special "Tony Colson auction" so his things will come up for auction over the next years...
    10. great bar Chris!!!! I love these Veteran enamel pieces - sometimes harder to find than the "official" enamel!!!
    11. I always thought only the crews of the two german ships got the Messina medal.... are there other german soldiers / units that got that medal too??? Any ground troops helped in that catastrophe?
    12. thank you very much!!! By the way, at the moment is a medal bar on ebay germany that is very similar to this one... again the Messina , without china but with additional enamel!!! 6246394627
    13. Hello gentlemen, I have lost the name to this medal group.... I can`t find it anymore on my computer but I am shure that this group had been discussed some time ago. I had the name of the owner together with some scans of the group but everything is gone.... maybe someone can help me and give me the owners name again... thank you very much for your help Heiko
    14. Of course I can`t show all my medal bars with the china medal on them, the year has only 365 days... . But many has been shown on this forum yet. Here is a award document for the china medal in bronze - note the signature of Prinz Heinrich of Preussen!!!! Very rare, only for higher ranks.
    15. of course there were "private made clasps" also... very different style but nice to look at!!!!
