    1. Next up, my only P/O (unfortunately the pic turned out bad so I'll add another pic taken a while ago).
    2. Steve, Yes, it's almost unbearable. To all: Thanks for the comments. I'll put together a quick showcase of the cased luftwaffe awards. Rich
    3. but thanks to a fellow member, Sandro, I now have some of those little stands. I have tided the top shelf somewhat. Next shelf down still a disaster. Thanks Sandro! Rich
    4. When you sit down and actually think about how this award was won it really blows you away. The perspective really take a new meaning. When I read the citation for the PanzerJ?ger awarded RK I have, it is just incredible the feats that occurred. Rich
    5. I think it depends on the history of the badge. If it has been 'silver dipped' then the bluing will be completely stripped with absolutely no trace of bluing remaining. John, that's how I see the pilot badge you show, sorry. As for the colour photo, I do not know for sure but it could be a black and white photo that has been colourised. I really have little knowledge of photography and the quality during the 2WW but quite often colour newsreel was original black&white and later coloured. As for IMME/JMME, I never could work out if that's the colour they started or whether something, be it time or otherwise, has discoloured it. For thing I can tell you... I have no IMME in my collection, simply for this reason. I think they look awful in this state. Rich
    6. Thanks Stogieman! I pop into imperial every now and again as I have a little soft spot for it. Rich
