    1. Shaving kit, engraved. I think that one of the emblems is for the Army Corps of Engineers and am assuming that the other is for the Army Ambulance Corps.
    2. This is his Aid bag, complete with name and unit. Does anyone have any information on the unit?
    3. Thanks for the kind remarks!! I really do appreciate it. I will start posting a selection of items from my great grandfather, who was a member of Army Ambulance Company 125, 107th San(?) Train. He served most of his time in France.
    4. That is right. He is a Specialist Official as well. He is of the elevated level, ranked equivalent to a Leutnant.
    5. There are other odds and ends, including a letter from my grandmother to him. This letter was written before they were even married. I will refrain from posting the other stuff because of privacy and boredom factors. I know that the bulk of this stuff is of little value in the collectors market, but they are VERY special to me. There is a dress uniform and an M1 Carbine that are heading my way. I will add them to the thread when they arrive. My Grandfather was awarded with the following decorations: Navy Commendation Ribbon(Became an award of the Navy on 01Nov1943 and did not become a medal until 22Mar1950) Combat Action Ribbon American Campaign Medal Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal WW2 Victory Medal Philippines Liberation Medal I will post my Great Grandfather's WW1 items within the next few days. There is a lot of stuff there.
    6. Inside the cover of the booklet. It wish it were this easy to get a civilian job these days!
    7. This booklet was to aid in post war employment. After the war, he joined his father in running a chain of family owned funeral homes and investment advisor businesses and became very successful. He passed away suddenly when I was three years old(in 1974). There are times that I wish I could exchange sea stories with him... Perhaps in the future(but not too soon).
    8. Unknown patch to me. It is blown up to 150% size for better viewing. Perhaps a unit patch for the Dress blue uniform?
    9. US Naval Amphibious Forces Pacific WWII Patch x3
    10. Now for some militaria... Pharmacist Mate cheverons
    11. Here are some items he picked up over there... 1. Japanese cigarette packet 2. Japanese Aircraft ID Booklet 3. Japanese Booklet, unknown. It is full of Japanese text.
    12. He carried this paper when he landed on the island(with the one tank that made it off).
    13. This document outlines the actions of the hero, LTjg. Arra Kechijian
    14. On 01Sep1944, he reported to the LST456 and participated in the landings at Leyte. According to the link below and documents and newspaper clippings to follow, my grandfather saw some heavy battle. His travel order is in post #9. http://www.navsource.org/archives/10/16/160456.htm The battle lasted from 20 to 24 October 1944
