To share with all you.
Check my following posts about japanese and german items from the Scorff U-boat Bunker In Lorient.
Today, the Scorff Bunker is a restricted area but i am a lucky man because i am allowed to visit it for historical searches.

Hi
I just find in the Lorient U-boat base (The scorff bunker) the following paper relic!!!
Can you help me to have more information about this relic? Translation?
During WW2, only two japanese submarines came in Lorient, the I30 in august 1942 and the I29 in March and April 1944.

I just succeed to buy a reefer jacket wich belonged to the lieutenant Wilhelm Petersen.
Petersen was the U357 engineer officer and was KIA the december 26th 1942.
According the "report of interrogation of survivor from the U357" (WWW.uboatarchive.net), Petersen was promoted from the lower deck.
Do you know if is it possible to have more information about him? His career in the navy before the war and during the war? Petersen won the iron cross second class.
Is it possible to find a picture from his officer naval school promotion?

Hi
I want to buy an officer KM visor cap but prices are more than 2500 dollars. It's very expensive!!!!
I just find the following one on a well known german dealer site. It's not a "regular" one with a blue or a white satin liner. The price is not too expensive!!!
What is your opinion about this one? Is it a good ww2 one?
Thanks for all.

Hi
I have this KM NCO visor cap in my collect. I bought this one to a WH award forum member.
IMO, it's a good WW2 one but do you have more information about the maker (marks in the shinstrap)?
It's seem to be exactly the same kind of made that Matrosenm?tzen with reddish brown celluloid in the brim support (http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20001).
