    5. Just thought i would share,as you rarely see a real one these days,they are usually solid rubbish. Well this was aquired from an old Veteran fifteen years ago who picked it up during WW2. Always thought it was beautifully constructed. Hope you enjoy!! Steve
    6. Bought direct from family together with a shield etc, would appreciate some idea of value. He served with the Grenadier company of the POLISH PARACHUTE BRIGADE, i am aware most of these paras were Special Forces . thanks !! Steve

Although these were issued during wartime ,many were issued as reunion pins/badges post war..you need to go with your gut feeling and check age wear,personally i wouldnt bother and wait till a nice one which i was convinced about turned up. The style you display is the most copied. cheers steve
    8. Hi, I am no expert but i research and look and handle examples a lot over time..you learn pretty quick and get used to seeing genuine wear and tear and get a gut feeling about stuff. The Rothe examples that i have seen which i was happy about had a split pin rear,which is i believe a more costly way to retain the eagle(i may be wrong on that) I believe they would come in other fitments as well to retain the eagle. I was told my one would have been for full dress...it originally came out of a major collection .The other early version the construction is a text book example and it took me a long time to get this one as so many copies out there...hope its of help all the best steve
    9. This came with a set of US naval pilots wings, sadly no other info.They are the early type of Chinese Pilots wings nice rare and original. Hope you like Steve
    10. Rear of first issue, Note pin,type of bolt fitting,nicely scratched number to side and crown arrangment. Steve
