    1. Awesome stuff here Bob! I see I still a long way to go if I want to round out my MP patch collection. Scott.
    2. Very nice Bob, it is quite similar to mine but yours is in better condition. Scott.
    3. The decon kit alone should fetch $20.00 US, so I think you did very well! Scott.
    4. Hi Paul, I have to agree with Satsuma. I don't think it is Japanese, many times what collectors see in pictures are not boonie hat's but crushed pith helmets. At any rate, if it were Japanese it should either have a square ink stamp with the date, maker, and possibly a name if it was army. Or one or two square white labels sewn in for Navy. This is a "safe" generalization or guideline for Japanese cloth and cloth headgear. Take care and glad to see your doing well, feel free to PM me on your Japanese finds, this was my first love before I got poor and went to Iraqi stuff. Scott.
    5. The 1991 medal is not a reproduction Elvis. Too bad about the other, but bad copies are quite common in Iraq. Scott.
    6. Bob, I wonder if something gets lost in translation? Maybe fast entry crowd is really fast entry group or unit? I have noticed that sometimes the words seem strange on translations. I was thinking that it may be that some of these words are interchangeable... Scott.
    7. Awesome flag Bob!!! I am jealous. Scott
    8. I have given up trying to post the pictures...Here is a site where you can see an Iraqi para helmet. When you get here scroll down and you will see the Photo I tried to post. http://z3.invisionfree.com/Iraqi_Militaria_IMF/index.php?showtopic=677 Good luck, and feel free to join our group as well. Scott.
    9. Fantastic!!! Thank you very much for the help. I really do appreciate it. Scott.
    10. Here is a photo of Iraqi paras in the Iran-Iraq War. They are wearing the M-80 helmet with stenciled insignia
    11. OOPS I made a mistake the number is 13163... Pretty sad that I can read the medal and not see the keys on the keyboard. Scott.
    12. Hello, I was hoping that someone might be able to help me identify the recipient of a numbered Spanish American War Service Medal. It is the Army non-combatant version, not the campiagn medal. I am told there is a set of books with a by serial number roster of recipients??? The number is 18163. Thanks for any advice or help. Scott.
    13. Garth, you may wish to contact member bmsm, he will have some good info for you on these badges. He is quite good at getting this style of Middle Eastern badge identified. Great looking badges!!! An identical Egyptian Thunder Troops badge and tab were just posted on E-bay last week for $65.00 U.S. They were located in New Zealand. Scott.
    14. Judging from the safety pin backing I think that yours is Iraqi. The Egyptian ones that I saw had a different pin back. You should ask Bob, he really knows these things. Scott.
    15. Hi Lorenzo, these are actually Egyptian. The Thunder Badge is quite similar to the Iraqi version except that the Egyptian model has the black enamel tab.Bob (bmsm) has an article about these in JOMSA. He just sent me info this week as I too thought that they might be Iraqi. The Hat badge with no stars is Egyptian as well, probably the other badges too. Scott.
    16. Doc, contact ammarjwwad@hotmail.com. you may be surprised at the price. I think it will still be expensive, but perhaps not as much as you expect (depending of course on what you expect ) Scott.
    17. Paul, that uniform relly looks good on here!! I am glad you like it. Scott.
    18. Hi Lorenzo, I don't know much about the tray but I do have this exact style of uniform in my personal collection. it is quite similar to the British battle dress or an Ike jacket. Scott.
