    1. Here is a solid Luftwaffe Flak badge with a broken pin retainer. I am having trouble trying to mahe out the maker mark but it does appear to say Berlin... I can't be sure of what is before that. It is bent back towards the top but otherwise a very nice badge. I would very much like a valuation and an authentication if possible, but any help would be appreciated. Scott.
    2. Hello, I am hoping to get some help on a few fronts here. I have the following badges and have always been of the mindset that so much WWII stuff is faked that I would only get it from a vet or cheap. These fall into the latter category so I would like to verify the authenticity and if possible get a valuation. The first up is the E-boat badge marked just like Gordons Peekhaus example in the KM makers thread. Sorry for the poor pics... Thanks for any possible help. Scott.
    3. Hello, I was hoping someone could i.d. these boards for me. I also hope I have them in the right place.... Thanks, Scott.
    4. Hello, I was hoping someone could i.d. these boards for me. I also hope I have them in the right place.... Thanks, Scott.
    5. Thanks for solving the mystery gentlemen! Scott.
    6. I was hoping someone might be able to help me identify this ribbon. It is from a WWII U.S. Ike Jacket that belonged to a member who served in the 70th Infantry Division and later the Third Infantry Division. The other ribbons all denote European service with an ETO ribbon, Victory ribbon and Good Conduct ribbon. This ribbon is centered above the others. There is also a CIB on a blue felt background as well as the collar brass for infantry and the French Fourragere. The jacket came out of a local museum as a donation and now belongs to my father in law. Is this perhaps a screw up on a Silver Star or DFC? Or just some unit award? It is made in the same fashion as the others on the jacket, so I have no reason to believe it was added later. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Scott.
    7. More to come as work progresses, it is a slow process finding and unpacking everything. I am hoping to get a few more mannequins and torso displays as well. Thanks for looking, Scott.
    8. 3 of 3, Scott.
    9. 2 of 3, Scott.
    10. Medals case, 1 of 3 pics, Scott.
    11. Various uniforms waiting to be displayed but currently in the storage part of my basement. Scott.
    12. Here is a shelf with caps and berets, gasmasks and first aid items, boots and various ammo pouces, and a shovel, and a case for small branch insignia and a chest rig for an AK or Tabuk. Scott.
    13. Belts beneath the ranks case. Scott.
    14. A closer shot of the ranks case. Scott.
    15. Here are some insignia displays as well as a case with various Iraqi ranks and ephemera. Scott.
    16. Here are a couple of uniform displays as wel as some miscellaneous medals sets and table decorates. Scott.
    17. Visible here are some Middle Eastern vehicle tags, some assorted Iraqi headgear, an array of Iraqi canteens on top of my medals cabinet, and some insignia cases, bayonets and more books. Also added are a Saudi Flag I retrieved in Desert Storm and an Iraqi Flag from OIF. Scott
    18. Well, I have finally begun to settle into the new house and have started a collection area in my basement, so here are the beginnings of my collectiong room. Scott. My books with the helmet I wore in Desert Storm and the one I wore in OIF, between them is an Iraqi helmet with a blast shield mask. Also visible are guidons from some of my old units, and a flag that was made for me while in Qatar.
    19. Judging from the crimson color in the crown my opinion is Qatar, but that is only my guess, hope it gets you in the right direction. Scott.
    20. Hello Ammar, I see that you are up to your usual antics again... I paid you for the badge nearly 90 days before you shipped it to me. You are the one who had the issue with Paypal, not me. I have since offered to pay you again by Western Union to which you replied that you did not want it. You want me to filter money through different parties that will in some way reach you in Baghdad. I will not do this as it is outside of the secure area of Paypal and is bordering on illegal in the U.S. So, please refrain from posting half truths on my threads, this is not the place for that. I stand by my integrity and have had many great dealings with members and on E-bay, my feedback is 100% positive. Thank you, Scott.
    21. I am going to bed verry happy tonight! God bless those who carried out this operation, it is a testimony to the great men and women in our military! Scott.
    22. Yes correct, thanks for the info. I sold it last Sunday at a show with some other KM items. Scott.
    23. So, I am guessing that Paul didn't do the Paypal transaction, and now you want the book for free under the premise of accessability to all collectors. I think that it was made common knowledge that Bob had these books published at his own expense (self-published). So, in order to re-coup his cost he must sell the first batch of books, when they are gone and he has recovered his cost, then he could choose to upload the contents for all to see. I myself love the feel of a book in hand rather than a file on my computer. I am certain that we could all help you get a copy if you want one. I would be happy to pick up the postage for a veteran serving in Iraq, just work out the details with Bob on a check or money order. Scott.
    24. Hi Lorenzo, I am sure that if there was no cost in the publication of Bob's book he would upload it into the forum. The fact is, it is self published, which means that Bob had to pay for each copy that was printed. I can assure you that he is not making money off of other collectors with this book, it was very expensive to have it published. Perhaps when he recovers his cost, he will upload it to the forum, but that is a decision for Bob to make. You have stated that you had 200 + pages of info for a book, why don't you take your own advice and upload it to the forum? I am not trying to call you out here, but I really think that you could have answered Bob's question in a better way. Scott.
