To all, I contacted several weeks ago this magazine and its publishing house... but did not get any feed back from them. I sent several e-mails .... No answer... I, of course, will let you know if by chance I get something new... Meanwhile, I will post here more orders and medals . Ch. -
The ribbon bars are mounted in a bizarre way. The smallest one (3 ribbons) displays the Order of Saharian Merit (instituted in 1958)... but not the WW2 cross and medals... Ch.

Soviet Soviet & Eastern Block Quiz
Christophe replied to Christophe's topic in Russia: Soviet: Other Militaria
So, we can imagine this medals depicts Nadejda Krupskaia... But, I have to say I'm not able to answer the other parts of the question... Any other try to answer Christian's one? Ch. -
About the Royal order of Cambodia (its fiist name) : The ribbon shown is the right one. When created in 1864, the ribbon was red with green thin stripes. In 1899 (after this Order became a Colonial Order in 1896), the ribboin became white with orange stripes. The reason fo the change : It looks too much like the Legion d'Honneur, specifically when worn as a rosette. When the Order became again a National Order in 1948, it came back to the original colors, red with green stripes. This is this last version that is displayed here. Ch.

Hi, Here is the website of the editor, the Bratishka Editions (Moscow) : http://www.bratishka.ru/anons.php?id=4&type=1 They provide a phone number where to order the book (1350 RR = 40 euros). I myself bought mine in a fair in Moscow where this editor had a booth. I slightly paid less than this price because I paid in euros in cash. I have never seen it elsewhere (150 copies only...). Hope this helps. Ch.

Format 70X100mm, 240 pages, 150 copies. Very high quality of printing. This catalogue is the most complete and exhaustive existing today about the Medals of the Ministries and Departments of the Russian Federation. Are presented the medals (obverse + reverse), docs, regulations... It deals with medals from March 1992 to December 2005. Here is a bust of Napoleon III. From left to right, we can identify the L?gion d'Honneur (medal + plaque), the M?daille Militaire, an unknown medal, and what seems to be the Medal of the Italy Campaign. Anyone has an idea of what is the 3rd medal ? Ch. Pic : ? Christophe ? ChR Collection

Here are Pablo Neruda (1904?73)'s awards, as displayed in his former house La Chascona, in Santiago (Chile). Neruda, a Latin American poet and politician was awarded the Lenin Prize for Peace in 1953 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971. In this display are exhibited both of them, as well as his Legion d'Honneur and other awards. He also got an Order of Lenin, not shown in the picture. Ch. Pic : ? Christophe ? ChR Collection
