Hi Rick, yes, i had an L55 EK2 some month ago in a worn condition with rust and patina. I sold the piece on www.hood.de, because the condition was to bad for me. Maybe, i can find the old pics. In a german forum, SDA, there is shown a worn L55 EK2 in the database. But you are right, most of the L55 are unworn, like the L/11 and the L/54. At the moment it is easier to find a W&L mm cross, EK1 or EK2, in mint condition, then a W&L mm cross in worn condition. Regards, Oliver

EK 1939 EK1 Manufacturer Question
ogfm replied to censlenov's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
hello, as Stefan said, the mm 51 EK1 are fakes ! You can find them with a needle or sb version an they are one-ppiece-made crosses. Regards, Oliver -
Hello Mametz, there are only two makers, who marked their crosses in the frame, L/12 and L55. For the L/12 i was searching some years and for the L55 it took some month, too. They are very rare, like most of the LDO marked EK2. Here is my L/12 EK2. Regards, Oliver
