    1. I saw that one, looks like a good one. This guy must have switched armies at some point?
    2. Great idea for a thread. This is all I have in the 'Nassau department'.
    3. That is a very interesting medal bar. For a pioneer junior officer to be decorated so highly, he must have been quite the guy. The unofficial award on the end is particularly unusual, as is the award of the Lippe Merit Medal with Swords. A great bar.
    4. Anyone know if that banged up PLM is from the O'Connor Jacobs grouping or just a random one?
    5. Interesting group. Is the crown hinged? The Griffon Order with crown is of course scarcer than the Knight's Cross, as it constitutes a higher grade of the order. We need one of our Mecklenburg experts to chime in, but it looks like a good WW1 period piece to me.
    6. Yes, that is a typical Steinhauer piece. And without a close-up it will be impossible to ID that Verdienst-Medaille.
    7. The second to last is a Reuss Honour Cross 3rd Class. I think you're right about the last medal. The medal between the EK1 and Baltenkreuz looks like a Merit Medal of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha or one of the Duchies, with the sword clasp. BTW i noticed recently that an award doc for the PLM allegedly to Jacobs is being offered on fleabay, signed by von Kanitz, along with other items, including a banged up PLM.
    8. Thanks for your efforts in this thread. I must say that I find this new level of fakery extremely demoralising.
