    1. Here is my latest trade KIA Hurtegen Forest 2/14/45 Class of 1942 Haverford College
    2. I found it my self ! Waiting on a better picture and more info from Valley forge MA on him!

Perry was a student at Valley Forge Military Academy Enlisted in US army 1942 Sent to Pacific with Co B. 126th IR 32nd Division He was KIA by GSW to the Face on Aug 13 1944 near Yakamul , Aitape area New Guinea he was not Buried until Jan 1945 Reinterred in Grandview Cemetery Allentown PA I am waiting on Museum at Valley Forge MA for any info on him !

    12. I believe the army type 1 was ? this type was used for WW1 awards ! But i think this is a navy type ! Try going to tom lanes site www.purplehearts.net you might find the answer I am not up on all the types

Hello I search and found no KIA info on any of these names I did find Robert W Griffin as a Wounded in aCTION with the 102nd Infantry division recieving Bronze star ,Purple Heart , Good conduct medal ,Eto campaign medal 2 bronze battle stars wounded in rhineland campaign Inducted april 21 1944 discharged jan 13 1946 percy jone hospital this is from 102nd division reunion book on amazon.com

Co A 1st BN 5th Marines 1st Marine Div WIA Dec 30 1943 attacking airfield #2 Cape Gloucester Died Jan 19 1944 of his wounds I have found only anout 300 KIA from cape Gloucester and another 30 or so Died of wounds later A hell of a place Rain Mud and snipers enlisted dec 15 1941 from lowell Mass an amatuer heavyweight boxer Guadalcanal vet
    17. I have seen this one before ? Not sure where ? It looks almost like a practice engraving? Look at the A and the D very shakey? I its not goverment engraved could be a Wounded in action vet who had it done after the war ?

    19. Recieved Confirmation today He was transfered to 1/4 Marines and fought at the tail of corrigador on the beaches Taken Prisoner at Malanta Tunnel on May 7 or 8
    20. Pvt Moody C Wilson MIA near Strettoia Italy About Oct 22 1944 ! Body recovered June 2 1945 not too much info on him in his IDPF Nothing from his local Alabama libary on him Due to the fact of Segrated south He was not listed in regular papers with other KIAs Need to find African American newspaper archive from FAYETTE CO. Alabama ?? anybody have any clue ? I did contact alabama state archive but waiting on there reply ! He was pousthuomus promoted to Corp. and recieved combat infantry badge Found a picture of a cannan co from the 92nd in NARA

Here the proper small blacken type engraving note the proper way its engraved it would not be 3 lines engraved with the middle inital by its self Sorry its private engraving ! also no period after Middle initial . I feel its made to decieve if named after a KIA or it may be a WIA engraved by the soldier later . This is my Opinion Check out my website also go to tom lanes site www.purplehearts.net
