    1. Hi there. Just made a quick edit to my earlier post. Can anyone confirm these foreign awards? Kind regards Pierce

    3. Wrenched apart? Who will be wrenching it apart?? It was just an innocent question about the suspension ring........... I got the seller to take some extra shots of it from these different angle, doing NO damage to the bar. I have never seen one like it before......
    4. Hoping to but a new medal bar with this Silesian Eagle on it. This one i am unsure about. Is it good or bad? There is a maker mark on the reverse. Does the reverse look ok? What about the way it is attached to the medal bar? I thought these medals usually had the jump ring attached to the head of the eagle. This one seems to be sewn on to the bar by something attached to the back of the eagles head. Thanks Pierce
    5. Thanks Rick. I was thinking it woud have been hard to say. At least we have a rank to go with it, thanks. Pierce
    6. Also picked this up last week. Is it Army or Navy? I would imagine the combo to be common enough so i'd guess an ID out of the question?? What about possible owners? Kind regards and thanks Pierce
    7. Hi Rick, I was thinking the Vizeadmiral group could not have been IDed due to the combo so i am gald it came with a name. As for the Admiral Meisel medal bar...i just assumed he did not update his medal bar...common enough that? I did a search on the net and i seen a wartime photo of him...a very long ribbon bar, all the awards you mention above seem to be on it. I see he also had the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun. Which Grade was it? Perhaps that is the 4th ribbon after the long service awards? Thanks for your input. Pierce P.S Thanks to everyone else for their positive comments. :rock on:
    8. These both arrived here this morning. Have been paying these off for quite a while now....but finally they are here! First up Vizeadmiral Wilhelm Meedsen-Bohlken
    9. Thank you all for your input and especially to Rick. Having this ribbon bar in hand i agree with him, the tabs have not been opened at the back, this bar is in somewhat brittle condition. As for the red ribbon...looks the same colour as the stripe in the HCX imo...could be the photographer... . The name was mis-spelt, his sur-name is Flegel, not Flegal..........i went to the Axis Research website and got this....picture matches the ribbon bar but they have a habit on that site of getting the wrong picture with the name. http://www.geocities.com/~orion47/ Let me know your expert opinions on this possibllity. Thanks again Pierce
