    1. Looks like a bavarian unofficial regimental award from the 22. Infanterie-Regiment: Kgl. Bayer. 22. Infanterie-Regiment F?rst Wilhelm von Hohenzollern (Zweibr?cken, II. Saargm?nd). II. Bayer. Armee Korps
    2. Tony, no, thats an information I search too. The canteen came together with a privately purchased map pouch and other stuff, which belonged to a Vizewachtmeister and maybe artillery observer of FAR 95, so I think this stuff is WW1 period. I also got his Feldartillerie-Tabellenbuch with shooting tables etc. A really scientific task, to make these guns hit...
    3. The MEZ1 is with 100% a fake and not even a good one. I also don't like the back and the ribbons look like the fake and artificially "browned" ribbons the "Raritaetensammlerclub" usually sells. May the bidder be lucky with it...
    4. Just got this one in a large WW1 lot at Ebay. Its like new and seems to have the late type leather straps.
    5. June 28, 1914: The bad boys are planning "the beginning"... A picture which will be included in my next Verdun-Picture-DVD.
    6. Thats the usual Ebay stupidity as Tom says. Two idiots who get crazy about an item. The problem is, that prices like that become "standart" because of Ebay idiots...
    7. Nice display Du Frontschwein The shield is the standart Infanterieschutzschild 16. I also got one (posted it a longer time ago). The most of them were returned in 1917 and 1918 to make steel helmet from them. Its the same high quality chrome-nickel steel they made the helmets from. Thats why the most shields you see nowadays are relics. Here are some pics of these shields in use.
    8. I thought it is "Bekleidungsamt Armeekorps" and then the roman number of the corps?
