    1. The "Richterzeitung" 1918 lists two Amtsgerichtsräte with HHOX: 1) Amtsgerichtsrat Brachwitz, Berlin -> this is Fritz Georg Richard Brachwitz, born 16.4.1875 in Berlin, 1912/13 Amtsrichter in Thorn, first name acc. to Adressbuch Thorn. He must be the HdR Brachwitz from RIR 6. 2) Amtsgerichtsrat Otto from Nienburg. I have not yet been able to find his first name, but he should be the Olt dR Otto from Nienburg/Weser in IR 82 in the 1910 Prussian ranklist. Probably would be found in the Adressbuch Nienburg. He might be the Hptm dL from LIR 31 without first name in our list. Acc. to the Richterzeitung, he also got Hamburg and Bremen Hanseatic Crosses.
    2. Another Jewish recipient: Olt dR Friedländer is Heinrich Friedländer, 1885-1959. He was a lawyer and published a lot about corporate law. Emigrated to the US in 1938, but came back after WW2. http://www.rathay-biographien.de/persoenlichkeiten/F/Friedlaender_Heinrich/friedlaender_heinrich.htm His HHOX is mentioned in "Vom Konzern zum Einheitsunternehmen: Aktuelle Entwicklungsperspektiven des deutschen und europäischen Konzernrechts", Alfred Bergmann et al., de Gruyter 2020 (it says that he stopped six British tanks)
    3. Olt Junge must be Heinz Junge, born 1893, formerly in FAR 24, during WW1 in FFA 38, later Direktor at Focke-Wulf and during WW2 Major and Deputy Cdr of a PoW Camp (tried for that after the war). His HHOX (and his Mecklenburg-Strelitz 1st cl) is mentioned in Stefan Geck, "Dulag Luft, Auswertestelle West: Vernehmungslager der Luftwaffe für westalliierte Kriegsgefangene im Zweiten Weltkrieg", Lang 2008
    4. Otto Mangold (1891-1962) was later Professor of zoology in Freiburg and Rektor of Freiburg Univ. from 1938-40. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Mangold His HHOX is mentioned in "Die Kapitulation der Hohen Schulen, Bd 2" by Helmut Heiber, de Gruyter 2019
    5. Prof. Dr. Arthur Georg Sigismund Ungewitter, 1885-1955, was Präsident of the OLG Frankfurt during the Third Reich. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Ungewitter Together with a lot about his career, his HHOX is mentioned in Arthur von Gruenewaldt, Die Richterschaft des Oberlandesgerichts Frankfurt am Main in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus: Die Personalpolitik und Personalentwicklung, Tübingen 2015 More info (including other awards) about Dr. jur. Lothar Rosenberg, 1895-1979: From BIOGRAPHISCHES LEXIKON ZUR GESCHICHTE DER DEUTSCHEN SOZIALPOLITIK 1871 BIS 1945: SOZIALPOLITIKER IN DER WEIMARER REPUBLIK UND IM NATIONALSOZIALISMUS 1919 BIS 1945, Band 2 Eckhard Hansen/Florian Tennstedt, Kassel 2018
    6. The same 1967 book also lists a "Ritterkreuz des Hausordens von Hohenzollern" for Prof. Dr. Jonathan Zenneck, 1871-1959, who was also Hptm dR in the Marineinfanterie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Zenneck The book includes the attached citation for action during the first Flandernschlacht in Nov 1914. I wonder if this is rather the Princely one?
    7. Kiewitz is Werner, 1891-1965, later diplomat and eventually head of the Ordenskanzlei des Bundespräsidialamtes. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werner_Kiewitz His HHOX is mentioned in several publications, such as the Kurowski book above.
    8. Yes, he is in Verlustlisten as "Weidenhammer" as well. I find two references for him (during his lifetime) which seem to be independent from each other: - A 1967 book, "Deutsche Offiziere in Staat, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft" by Franz Kurowski lists Rudolf Weydenhammer with the "Ritterkreuz des Hausordens von Hohenzollern". - The German Who's Who 1970 lists him with "Hohenzollern-Hausorden". I couldn't find out whether earlier volumes list it as well.
    9. Hptm dR Lohmeyer from Pioniere should be Paul Adolf Fritz Lohmeyer. Born 25.11.1875 in Thorn, in Verlustlisten with PR 23, later Präsident der Reichspostdirektion Frankfurt. Died 13.10.1944 in Königstein according to his death certificate at ancestry. https://www.deutsche-digitale-bibliothek.de/item/Z4CCYIBOPQCCUIXCM2OGWPPV5K3HVQXJ
    10. Lt dR Lütke is probably Andreas Ludwig Lütke, Lehrer in Travemünde, from IR 394, and IR 162 before. Born 17.10.1886 in Schwartau. Verlustlisten Dec 1918 have him as vermisst. I find nothing about him after WW1.
    11. Lt dR Lützkendorf is most probably Otto Max Lützkendorf, born 1894 in Wegeleben. "Reichsbankdiätar" after WW1, found in Berlin address books until at least 1973.
    12. Oberst aD Ernst Mahrenholz, 1867-1945 (in Magdeburg), death certificate at ancestry (it says: KIA by artillery fire)
    13. Here is a Dr. Rudolf Weydenhammer (1890-1972), whom several sources credit with the (Royal) HHOX. During WW1 in Bayr. FAR 3. He was heavily involved in the Austrian 1934 putsch, later Wehrwirtschaftsführer, in the Aufsichtsrat of BMW and also Ehrensenator of Munich Univ.: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Weydenhammer In our list, we have a Robert Weidenhammer, who got the HHOX in 1917 as Major, but it cannot be him.
    14. Wolfgang von Werder, 1876-1944 https://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Personenregister/W/WerderWolfgangvon.htm Eberhard Joachim Graf von Westarp, 1884-1945 https://geneall.net/de/name/68277/eberhard-joachim-graf-von-westarp/ "Weske" from IR 99 is the later Prof. Dr. Carl Wesle, 1890-1950, per Verlustlisten and bio at Univ. Kiel, which mentions his HHOX: https://cau.gelehrtenverzeichnis.de/person/17898c38-1ea4-e1a1-fda1-4d4c604dc2b7?lang=de#:~:text=Weitere Informationen-,Ehrungen,-Zeitraum
    15. Franz Freiherr von Stengel, 1867-1947 Kurt Freiherr von Watter, 1866-1937 https://www.leo-bw.de/web/guest/detail/-/Detail/details/DOKUMENT/labw_findmittel_06/labw-1-330003/Watter Kurt von Freiherr
    16. Hans Mohs, 1870-1940, was researched at AHF: https://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=202533&start=60 Erich von Oldershausen, 1872-1945 https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erich_von_Oldershausen
    17. Hptm dR Hoernigk is Curt as per Verlustlisten. No other reserve officer with that name in artillery in 1914.
    18. Some genealogical data for the Counts Holnstein: Emanuel Graf Holnstein aus Bayern, (1868-1950), Oberst aD Heinrich Graf Holnstein aus Bayern, (1881-1959), Major aD Ludwig Graf Holnstein aus Bayern, (1873-1950), Oberst aD
    19. Same with Gottfried Fuchs from FAR 14, who we have listed as Oswald. There is a fascinating story behind this one: He was of Jewish origin, born in Karlsruhe in 1889, a very successful football player esp. before WW1. Played several times for the German national team. He had to emigrate during the Nazi era, finally coming to Canada. In 1941, he changed his name to Godfrey E. Fochs. Died in Montreal in 1972 (after some 'complicated' relations with the DFB: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottfried_Fuchs ) Several books tell his story, such as this one (the scans below are taken from it): https://books.google.de/books?id=jb5IEAAAQBAJ
    20. This should be Dr. Karl Heinrich Rother, who is so far listed as Heinrich Rother in our list. Dr. phil. from Univ. Breslau in 1912.
