This is an absolutely fascinating story, worth an article of its own or even a book: The Dr. Hadra in our list, "landsturmpflichtiger Arzt" from 2nd GardeR zF is Dr. Edmund Georg Hadra, a (converted) Jew. Born in Berlin in 1877, Dr. med. from Univ. Leipzig in 1906. Wounded three times in WW1, he received the HHOX in 1918. Survived Theresienstadt, where he was sent in 1942. Emigrated to South America after the end of WW2, then to the US in 1948, where his daughter already lived. Practiced again in several NYC hospitals and died in Manhattan in 1971, at 93. What a life. https://books.google.de/books?id=Hk93DwAAQBAJ&pg=PA296&lpg=PA296&dq=dr+hadra+garde&source=bl&ots=COPCCWFSgg&sig=ACfU3U3cO_nZcxoYESn_FpZh5XVXau0cSA&hl=de&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjOiZiN7br0AhWHDuwKHVSTCWoQ6AF6BAgYEAM#v=onepage&q=dr hadra garde&f=false https://www.geni.com/people/Edmund-Georg-הדרה/6000000030164240491

Even more on Paepenmöller, with a picture: Westfälische Zeitung, 29.11.1934 Prof Dr Ernst Meister died 1939: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Meister_(Geologe) Prof Dr Conrad Ramstedt lived 1867-1963: https://en-academic.com/dic.nsf/enwiki/11573033 Here is his picture with the HHOX: https://collections.nlm.nih.gov/catalog/nlm:nlmuid-101694285-img Ramstedt was actually the godfather of - Karl Lagerfeld: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conrad_Ramstedt https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conrad_Ramstedt The German Wikipedia mentions that Lagerfeld called him "der schickste Mann, den ich je gesehen habe" - so even might have influenced his style.

This story from Volksblatt (Oldenburg), 14.4.1932, is about a former Hptm "Hemman" who was sentenced in court for fraud. A Hohenzollern-Hausorden is mentioned, a Princely one? The story mentions that he wrote a book "Carie's Briefe" in 1904 - I checked it, his correct name is Ernst Hemmann. There is a Lt dR with that name in the 1914 RL in FußAR 3.
