    8. Hi Chris, I would need a 240mm bar. The price is fine. Please send me a PM with payment details. Many Thanks!!! All the Best, Doc
    9. Hi Chris, A new bar is just fine for me. I need one 215mm. I really appreciate your help!!! How do I pay? Paypal? Doc
    10. Hi Chris, Are you saying that you need the width of each ribbon or the width of the ribbons when the medals are laid out the way they would be mounted? Doc
    11. Lorenzo, I laid mine out overlapping 1/3 and It measures 220mm. It's 240 mm if I use 1/4 ribbon overlap. I also noticed that your friend's bar, while beautiful, has different ribbon overlaps. Some medals are 1/3 overlap. Some are Half overlap. These different size overlap suggests that he used the mounting bar he could find and squeezed the medals to fit. Doc
    12. Hey lorenzo, Thanks for the length of the mounting bar. You have posted the front and back of your friends replica bar. Doc
    13. I just realized that I will have to measure the medal layout because the ribbons are of different widths. Doc
    14. Hi Chris, The bar will need to be long enough for 11 medals half overlapped. Does this help? Doc
    15. Hello Chris, I'll do a layout of the medals and get the measurement to you today. Many Thanks for this!!! Doc
    16. Here's some pictures I'll use in the display and the list of those killed along with Brian (the list has his name spelled as Bryan Clinefelter) and a remembrance: The Remembrance We remember the 37 American Navy crewmen who were killed in the Persian Gulf when their frigate, the USS Stark, was hit by Iraqi missiles on May 17, 1987. The mission of the USS Stark was to maintain peace in the hostile environment of the gulf: to help keep essential sea lanes open, to show the American flag in an area of vital interest, and to provide U.S. Navy protection to those entitled to it. And for the cause of peace in a troubled world these 37 brave Americans lost their lives. The List of the Honored Dead We Remember Them... 37 Who Died Doran Bolduc - Lacy, Wash. 17. Thanks Lorenzo, I'll add it to the list of ribbons for Ammar to find for me. If not...No big deal. Once mounted it will be hard to tell. Doc
    18. Hey Lorenzo, I figured that I should use the picture of him wearing the medal bar to go with my replica. I do need to make one thing VERYclear. I am buying the medals a couple at a time from an Iraqi Medal Dealer...NOT from any Military or coalition civilians. The ONLY reason I'm making this is as my personal memorial to my life-long friend Brian who was killed onboard the USS Stark. This will NEVER be sold, traded or given away. I would undo it before it ever left my care. Doc
    19. Thanks Lorenzo!!! I'll talk to Ammar. Here's my medals for the replica of Saddam's medal bar minus the Wisam al-Jadara. I've been working on a replica of Saddam's medal bar from one of his official portraits. All I need to complete it is the Wisam al-Jadara. The medals are: TOP ROW (L-R): Bravery Medal, General Service Medal, Nut Herb Filistine 1948-49/Medal for the Palestine War 1948-49, Nut Quami al-Isyian fi al-Shimal/Medal for crushing the Northern Rebellion, Nut Thurath 14 Ramadan (1963)/Medal for the 14 Ramadan Revolution (1963), The Medal for the 17 July Revolution in 1968 Bottom Row (L-R): Co-Operation Medal 1967-73, 1st class / Nut al-Taawin, 1967-72, 1st class, The Medal of Peace with the Kurds (Gilt), Golden Jubillee Medal 1st class & Medal for the 1973 War with Israel. I will frame this with the pieces of one Saddam's main bunker in Baghdad, a picture of my friend Brian (killed 17 May 1987 aboard the USS Stark) and a picture of the official portrait this medal bar is based on. Doc
    20. The next two Medals arrived today. The General service Medal and the Bravery Medal, 1st Class. Now to buy the last (and most expensive) Medal the Wisam-al Jadara. That will complete the replica of Saddam's Medal Bar. The first pic is the the Bravery Medal, 1st Class and the second is the General Service Medal. Doc
    21. Thanks for the ID!!! I knew the first and last and I've seen the Oldenburg FA Cross before but my memory failed me. The The Prussian Bravery cross was one that I haven't seen until now. Doc Riley
    22. I have two questions. 1st- What country is this Medal bar from? 2nd- What are the two middle crosses (Including what PLM stands for). Doc Riley
    23. Where can I get that kind of hinged pin attachment? Doc
