    1. Another award from Veneran`s association. This one was issued in 1895 by Saitama group

    4. Some of these awards were also issued by Military/Veteran Associations. Here comes another piece from my collection. Dated from 1894. Issued by Miyagi Prefecture Noble Warriors Military Association. But I am not so sure that it`s connected with C-J war... Case

    7. These are non-governmental awards issued by prefectures, towns and even villages to veterans of S-J war. Also there are commemorative jettons (sometimes in the form of medals - what made them practically indistinguishable from previous class) which could be bought by "fervent patriots".
    8. Reverse inscription of piece in post #1 reads 大日本 - Great Japan 大濵町 - Ohamamachi town 明治卄七年 - 1894 year Thanks for the help Oleg!
    9. Both medals bear inscription 征清紀念 on their reverses 征 - conqueror 清 - Qing 紀念 - in commemoration
    10. And the last one for today in our database. This one is not posthumous award and was issued in 1986
