    1. Thank you for these numbers Martin Absolutely agree. I think this is impossible. Best, Nick
    2. Hi Martin, definitely By the way, what do you think about the approximate number of issued "japanese" HK? According to the vet memories every crewmen got the badge. If so, I wonder how many of theses badges were made in our mysterious Yokohama workshop ... Cheers, Nick
    3. Yes guys, this is one and only (from my point of view) explanation for this untypical fitting!
    4. Hi Martin, as far as I know these badges were issued to crewmen of the "Thor", "Michel", "Doggerbank" (later "Charlotte Schliemann") and "Uckermark". Regards, Nick P.S. Will it be possible for you to repost your info regarding meridians (obviously they were added to the badges later by pretty steady hand - most likely conventionally) in this thread (you'll need to be registered with GCA to see original thread).
    5. Thanks for "decoding" these marks guys!
    6. That’s about it folks! If you have these interesting and rare badges in your collection please don’t hesitate to post them in this thread! Nick
    7. Fakes This famous chinese workshop is pretty busy these days … This badge A2159 was made especially for us dear colleagues
    8. It looks like in addition to this basic badge Manchukuo had association of wounded soldiers that issued its own badges. Here we have very interesting example of such badge. It has number 2046 on reverse and inscribed 滿洲傷痍軍人會 – Manchukuo Association of Wounded Soldiers and under the pin ?員章 – ? member badge
    9. Maximum known number (thanks again David )
    10. № 12767 (another boxed speciment with the ribbon and again I suspect that the box and the ribbon are not originals )
    11. № 5795 (the box is a wrong one - IMHO of course )
    12. Lowest known number (thanks a lot David ) № 5457
    13. Now this is a big question if this “medal” is really medal. Because it has ribbon? But who told that this or that ribbon is original to this medal? Most medals we see came without any ribbons at all! After all it could be a badge. Unfortunately I’ve never seen 100% original box and 100% ribbon for this medal (badge?). Ok. It’s time to see these rarities in color
    14. Now about this ribbon. It looks very strange … No hook, no catching eye… Is this ribbon original for this medal? As we know Peterson had doubts about it. Well he was right! Obviously this ribbon belong to the Girin/ Chángchūn Shì/ 吉林市 town medal.
