    1. Well let’s go back to the metal artifacts Let’s finish this “white oval commemorative badge”! At last! I find info and photo of this missing badge – badge that Miro showed to us in post 141.
    2. Reverse of the document
    3. And another interesting document. This one was issued for private 1st class Kojiya Shuzo-san on May 5, 1941. He got injured in Manchuria in 1938.
    4. Reverse of the document
    5. And here comes original (64 pages long!) book that accompanied wound badge document for private 1st class Fujitsuna Shigeo. The book had the soldier's info in it and instructions/benefits for the wounded solder. This soldier caught plague in Rabaul Island back in 1940.
    6. This interesting example bears original plastic cover. Plastic cover
    7. Let’s look at some nice and very interesting examples of these small add on documents for type 4.1 and 4.2 badges. Here we have we another interesting example of such document that was issued on June 28, 1939 to private 1st class Kawanishi Tomio (born on March 25, 1915). He was wounded at Nakayama Higashishou Sainan (japanese name for an area in China) during the China Incident.
    8. And the later one dated from 1919 (13 Muharram 1338 - 13 Muharram 1338 / 8.10.1919 - 8.10.1919) Mir Muhammad Husayn Khan 'Amid al-Mulk receives the order of the Lion and Sun First Class. Mentioned is prime minister Vusuq al-Dawlah. Decree is dated 15. Burj-i Mizan 1338.
    9. Next will be this document (different and very beatiful firman design!) for Mirza (Muhammad) Zaman amir-i divan issued in Zihijjah 1273 / 23.7.1857 - 21.8.1857. Due to his services, Mirza (Muhammad) Zaman amir-i divan receives a decoration (first rank) showing the lion and the sun as well as a red sash (hamayil-i surkh). Furthermore a cashmere cloth is bestowed upon him as khal'at.
    10. Thanks Babar!!! Now we have some nice examples of early firmans for Lion and Sun order. The design amazingly resembles later documents! The earliest will be this document issued Lion and Sun order back in Ziqa'dah 1267 / 28.8.1851 - 26.9.1851 to Mirza Muhammad Husayn sadr-i divankhanah. Nasir al-Din Shah decorates Mirza Muhammad Husayn sadr-i divankhanah for his service especially as ambassador to the Russian court. In addition to the first rank order showing the lion and the sun he bestows a green sash (hamayil-i sabz) upon him.
    11. "Ruskies (what kind of word is thiz? "Mamka mleko, yayka, bistro!" ) hating german militaria"?!? Are you kidding me?! After soviet (and maybe Imperial Russia) this is one of the most active collecting segment in phaleristic/militaria russian community. Regards, Nick
    12. Of course I am! Tell you the truth sometimes I don't even have time to choose between H or G. Whole day long I am busy with hiding from wild bears (streets are full of them in Moscow). Cheers mate
    13. ... mainly in the winter... I wonder what Adolf would said about this opinion at the end of summer 1943
    14. And another interesting document. This time for 4th class of lion and sun order (but the size of the document is practically the same as 2nd class! 455x310 mm). The document was given to an Austrian official in 1905. Paper on the right contains a translation in german of the original text.
    15. Hope to post some new interesting (hopefully) threads pretty soon Thanks, Nick
