    1. Another full set. For scout with unreal prize papers... The name of the cavalier Ivan Ischenko. Couple weeks ago the asking price for this set was (and are?) $ 15 000. The maximum bid that was made - $ 12 000. It is not known to me if the deal was sealed.
    2. Hi Richard, I think (it's quite obvious from color and material) this ribbon is a later replacement. As for the wrong rosette... This ribbon was definitely made specially for this order (same material was used in case of miniature ribbon ) in some British workshop. Who knows what they were told (not to mention "when and by whom" ) and how much did they know about 9 classes of striped tiger order? Regards, Nick
    3. Nice move! Someone bought this piece (posts # 91-95) as replica at Japan Yahoo and now reselling it as original piece (naturally straight from WW II ) at american eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-1930s-WWII-JAPANESE-MILITARY-6th-CLASS-GOLDEN-KITE-MEDAL-army-navy-marine-/120977950067?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c2ad90573 Looks like this piece is quite popular
    4. Hi Pieter! How was your trip? Thanks for translation! Unfortunately these docs for orders weren't in the offer Regards, Nick
    5. --------------------------------------------------- This is interesting hypothesis. Another variant - unofficial award from some regiment. This is the first time I see this piece. The seller called it "Taiwan Counterattack Medal". No other info was given. Regards, Nick
    6. Hi Rob, these are the only documents that were offered for sale. No documents for orders. Quite strange... Two war campaigns and no orders ... Cheers, Nick
    7. Another interesting example on the ribbon of the 5th Class Revolutionary Donation Medal (?) numbered 570 on reverse. Gives you a clear idea about the size of this badge ;)
    8. Obverse characters read "Give money to save our country". Reverse characters read "Republic year 28, Kwangtung Province People's Committee, maker Chung Hwa "Pearls and Gold" on a Hong Kong Avenue in Canton". We also see mark 9 Karat and engraved name of recipient Cong Mang Chen. It is believed that this badge was given for donating money to purchase U.S. war planes. Once I saw that this badge was called "Kwangtung Peoples Machine Purchase Resistance Fundraising Committee Member"
    9. Really interesting badge. Issued in 1938 by People`s Committee of Kwangtung Province. Obverse
