In the area of lake Палик (Palik) and a village with the same name in Belarus there were 4000 partisans. In 1944, Nazis threw a grenadier regiment, tanks, artillery, airplanes against partisans who under the leadership of Hero of SU Machulski came out of the battle as victors.
