The Medal for Defense of Moscow. Funny, there are some red spots on the ribbon, I always thought it could be blood, althought of course it can also be ketchup... Dolf

Someone suggested it (Ed I believe), so here they are. My Defense of Medals, each with the appropriate Doc. I believe they are all of the Var 1. Following the order they are shown on The Guide, so the first one is the Medal for Defense of Leningrad. Dolf

paddywhack, Outstanding!!! I have to find that Erich Hatmann's bird! So you can do all that, open and close the cockpit, put up and down the wheels, have the access to the engine open or close?!... Boy, that looks great! Both the 109 and the P 51 come from the same manufacturer? A big difference on the price! Thanks for posting these beauties! Dolf

Eric, I believe you can post pics up to 60Kb until you post a certain amount of posts (not sure how many, maybe a Moderator can help you with details), then you'll be able to posts pics up to 110Kb. Dolf -

OoV, For a decent view, can you please try to eliminate 99% of everything around the screwplate (crop it with Photoshop for example) in order to have a pic of the screwplate occupying most of the area of the final pic? Thanks, Dolf Here is what I meant. But in my case as I copied your posted pic all I got is a screwnut of the same size of the one you posted, but if you do it yourself from the original photo maybe you might get a better result. Anyway this pic is unfortunatelly way too blurred to show it clearly -

Christophe, So you confirm there are different Mintmarks? Moscow AND Leningrad? Would you by any chance have pics to post of samples with the Leningrad Mintmark? Thanks, Dolf -
Thanks a lot for the clarification Ed. Whatever it is made of, a very nice A 13 (3rd Class, 4th Grade, right?). A beautiful piece indeed! Dolf

So according to this, the difference between those posted by Paul and Darrell is that they would be 1.1, and those posted by Eric 1.2 instead. Have to check the Mondvor site to confirm this and for possible differences on Mintmarks. If only it was not so slow to download and not only in Russian... Thanks guys, Dolf -

Can you guys please enlight me about the difference(s) between these Medals posted above? The only difference I see between those posted by Paul and Darrell, and the ones from Eric is that little "thing" (screw-nut?) at the base of the screws. Is that the difference? Both mine are exactly like those from Paul or Darrell, btw. Thanks, Dolf
