    1. No, definitly an accident. The centers (and the upper ringholder!!!! -never seen before!) are fixed with thin silver-nails, not with wax. Holly ######...this number of awards I didn?t expect... I just copied Reiner Schwark?s number of award from his book, I just forgot to check the award-list on my last visit in Detmold. Thank you very much for open my eyes... Best regards Roman
    2. I hope you like this patient, too...now he lives next to his brothers and relatives. Best regards (Dr.) Solomon Revers:
    3. Dr. Solomon starts with his healing hands (and a few wodden toothpicks) and here is the result: It?s a Lippe-Detmold House Order 2nd class (neck-cross) 2nd model with chiffre L for Leopold It was awarded between 1911-1918 about 173 times. Some data about this order: Size: 57 x 63 mm ribbon-ring: 22,45 x 10,45 mm weight: 46,4 gramm ribbon: silk, 60 mm with 5mm golden stripes (and 60 cm long!!!! Yipppiieeeh! ) This order was made by Jean Godet, Berlin. It?s silver gilded and the revers-enamel (red) has round lines (which is typicall for Godet).. Godet produced between 1911-1918, the late ones... Avers:
    4. Hi gents, this patient arrived yesterday and asked for a recreation. Many years ago he had an accident with sealing wax on his left side. (I knew that, before I bought it...) Here is the picture of his arrival:
    5. ...and here are the three brothers together: on the left: HO 3th class (later 4th class) in original case, awarded between 1869-1889 in the middle: HO 4th class division A in original case, awarded between 1890-1918 on the right: HO 4th class division B (civil-cross) in original case, awarded between 1907-1918 Nice family, aren?t they? Best regards Roman
    6. Hi gents, here is my new (old) member of the family "Lippe-Detmold House-Order". It?s a House-Order Lippe-Detmold 3th class (since 1887 4th class) with chiffre LA. This type is the oldest type of the house-order of Lippe-Detmold and was awarded between 1869-1889. With the change of the statutes in 1887 the former 3th class became the 4th class (same style). The house-orders with chiffre LA (L for Leopold from Lippe-Detmold and A for Adolph from Schaumburg-Lippe) were spent by both principalities (Detmold and Schaumburg) before their dispute about the crown (of Lippe-Detmold) and quite hard to find. My order seems to be a GODET-piece, who produced the 3th class (between 1869-1887), but I?m not sure about that. The later awards (=4th class) were made by Carl B?sch, Hannover (between 1887-1889). The size of the original ribbon is exactly one inch (1 Zoll), which fits to the 3th class, the ribbon of the later 4th class was 1,18 inch (3 cm).
    7. Hi gents, thank you very much for your help. Here is the summary: - Red Eagle Order 4th class - Johanniter-Order "Ehrenritter" - cross for long service 25 years - Brunswick House Order 2nd class - Saxe-Ernestine House-order 2nd class Komturkreuz - Waldeck House Order 3th class - Waldeck military-merit-cross 3th class (= "WVK3") ????? - Romania Order of the Star of Romania Knights-cross - Serbia Order of Takovo Offiziers-Kreuz ....and of course a "Centenar-medal".... Is this right? Best regards and thank you again Roman
    8. Hi gents, I need a little help. Another collector asked me to help him with the list of awards the Oberstleutnant Adolph von Arenstorff got Here are the known facts: He was in the Offiziers-Korps of the Inf. Rgt. No. 83 (8.2.1887 until 18.11.1911), then he moved to the F?s.-Rgt. von Steinmetz No. 37. He was born on 27.2.1859 and died on 13.2.1913. The following awards are known (until 1911): - Red Eagle Order 4th class - Johanniter-Order "Ehrenritter" - cross for long service 25 years - Brunswick House Order 2nd class - Saxe-Ernestine House-order 2nd class Komturkreuz - Bavaria merit-order 3th class (???) - Waldeck House Order 3th class (???) - Romania Order of the Star of Romania Knights-cross - Serbia Order of Takovo Offiziers-Kreuz Maybe not all orders are right...but which are missing? Wuerttemberg? What else? Can anybody help me with further information? Thank you very much, Roman
    9. I think, he is wearing the SA-Stabschef uniform...he looks like Viktor Lutze, but I?m not sure... Best regards Roman EDIT: It is Viktor Lutze...no doubt. I found the same photo here: http://www.themarshalsbaton.com/Rare%20ranks.htm
    10. Yes, this maybe right...I think there is no chance to look into these rolls. The files after 1918 are stored in the castle of Detmold, not in the archive (another collector told me). You need a permission (given by the Prince of Lippe) to look into these files. I haven?t tried this yet, but I?m sure it won?t be easy. I know, that there are recent files in the castle of Schaumburg in Hannover, which are locked by the Prince of Schaumburg... Best regards Roman
    11. Thank you very much, Rick. This guy should be the right one...really interesting work! Best regards Roman
    12. Here is another one...awarded by Landgerichtsdirektor, Geheimer Justizrat Wilhelm Heuser on 12. July 1917... I have no further information on Wilhelm Heuser, did anybody find him in a rank list? Best regards Roman
    13. Hehe, nooo...I completed it to sell it (already reserved). My LIPPE-budget needs to be enlarged
    14. After some doubts on the combination long service 25 years and crown order 4th class, I changed it into the 3th class. I hope you like it, too. By the way, the crown order 3th class is made by J.Godet & Sohn (JG & S), of course gold. Best regards Roman
    15. Hehe, nice link...with this link I gave somebody, who argued with me about a simple coin for 4 Euro about two weeks, a negative feedbacks 90 days after the auctions end. He didn?t read proper the describtion of the article and didn?t watch the photos. I wrote good condition, he thought it was in very good condition....again: a coin for 4 Euro!!!! Next time he?ll think about his words "cheater and liar" Best regards Solomon
    16. Oh yes, I remember it! I got the FAM Saxony from this destroyed medalbar. It was IDed down to four possible owners (because of the 1905-medal) , a typical bar from a "Hof-Lakai". By the way, the different ribbon is from the house order Lippe-Detmold !!!! Best regards Roman
    17. ...a new flower in my garden House order 4th class Div. A with its case (made by Jean Godet & Sohn, Berlin) This one was awarded 560 times, not as rare as the other HOs from Lippe, but still nice. By the way, www.hausorden.de is my new project... Avers:
    18. Ah, very nice indeed...I got one a long time ago, quite cheap. My ring for the ribbon is a bit different. Does anyone have a medalbar with this type of long-service medal (Landwehr)? Best regards Solomon
    19. Hi gents, I got another picture from the collector who owns Rittmeister Keim?s medalbar (which was IDed by Rick easily). This identifaction might be more difficult, it seems to be the medalbar of a "Lakai" or something like that, not a high ranked soldier... Of course this medalbar is still nameless...so please let me (and the owner) know, what we can see Best regards Solomon
    20. I allready asked him....but...more important...I know the (former) owner of this medalbar. It was shown in a german magazine for awards, and, of course, the owner is not the ebay-seller. I hope, ebay will stop him soon... Solomon
    21. Fantastic work...thank you very, very much! The owner of the medalbar will be very pleased to read all the information... Best regards Solomon
    22. Hi gentlemen, as requested, I would like to show you a a very nice medalbar from Wuerttemberg and Schaumburg-Lippe. Another collector, who owns this rarity, asked me to help him with the identification of the former owner. (No, it?s not my medalbar...and I?m lucky that there isn?t any award from Lippe-Detmold on it ) Once again Rick did the ID easily...and now it?s my turn to make some advertisement for his book Now, Rick...please let the others know who the former owner was (I already know it ) Best regards Solomon P.S. I?m sure Daniel is also interested in it
    23. Something quite common...a typical medalbar from Lippe-Detmold after 1934. Unspectacular but I love them, too (It?s my second one with this combination. ). The IC is marked with FW (Franz Xaver Wimmer). Solomon
