    1. That "woman" is a little suspicious looking. I'm not so sure she was born with the same "kit" she has now. Strange how her suspension is hidden. There may be a surprise waiting for someone. :speechless1:
    2. Amen, I was beginning to think My career as a comedian was over. I was going for corny, maybe a lot of guys don't know this is cereal humor. I guess with Frankenberry the Count Chocula Regiment and the Booberry Regiment make up a division?
    3. I could not resist bringing this old thread back to the top. Paul, I'll take every $20 and most $50 sets of(officer) tabs you have. Hard to find many nice matching officer sets under $50 without having eye soars. Would love to hear everyone's updated comments Eric
    4. Here it is. Thought to only be another Third Reich idea that never got off the ground. The notorious: "FRANKENBERRY SUPER DOOPER REALLY TUFF DUDES REGIMENT" field cap. Vet bringback(of course)with original documents and photos in action. This one was autographed on the inside by Unkie Herman and the Adolph(as far as you know). Any idea's of value????
    5. It almost looks like he has bullion insignia. I forgot to mention the cap eagle, I think there is a diminsional difference between postal and rail eagles, but it is not unusual to see political eagles(face right from our perspective) on RB visors. There are a few pics that show this. Probably because visor retailors didn't stock or want to stock an addition part or who knows.
    6. The photos are great. The tall smiling dude(Chuckles) has collar tabs for pay groups 5 and up. His shoulder devices are called passanten. I beleive they were introduced in 41 made mandatory in 43 but few ever made the change. That's why you almost never see passanten for sale. Someone earlier said there were several changes in RB uniform regs, etc and there are no Reichsbahn books. Actually there are a couple of reference books. They are only available in German. "Chuckle's" passanten are for pay group 2 Reichsbahnoberrat. In the group photo the white summer tunic also appears to be PG2 and the guy right behind "Chuckles" is also high pay grade. This might have been a big meeting of regional directors. In the close up both guys facing "chuckles appear to have gold trimmed hats, another indicator of pay group 5 and up. Everything would be identicle on the visor except for red piping to indicat pay groups 7 & 6. The guy with his back to us has gold passanten also, can't tell if there are any rosettes(flower shaped pips used by RB from 41 on) so he is also 5 and up. The guy behind and to the right of "Chuckles" has the closed neck tunic with pay group 5/up tabs. Intersting group of pics, thanks for posting.
    7. Great displays. The red tops are conductors hats. The hat is very beautiful but there are a few things to keep in mind. They were rarely (some think never)issued with chin straps. These were added later, sometimes by the wearers, often by dealers and collectors that assummed they were missing. Having a chin strap does not make it incorrect. If the the large wing device was originally on there it is a rare variant. It's possible this was added later also. You might want to look closely at the prongs and see if there are differences in patina, etc. It is also very rare to see the large wing device with much gold wash remaining. Don't misunderstand this post, I love the hat but don't want others to read this while looking at a similar hat and think there are missing pieces.
    8. The first music meister tunic I have seen. I love the off the beaten path stuff myself. More so for the variety of colors insignia. Thanks for the show. Eric
    9. Yep, someone has a pair for sale. I really don't remember who or where or I'd post it. If I come across them I will pass it on in case someone is interested. :ninja:
    10. That sounds correct....but I saw these in a post somewhere that someone had in hand. I assume they are rare. I have not seen the angolia book.
    11. Difficult to tell without looking in hand but the yellow pair could be Reichsbahn pay group 6 third Reich or DDR but the grades change a little. RB did not have ranks but pay groups based on job.
    12. I don't have my ref books handy but the other replies are correct. I beleive the first two are private purchase DDR and the the third is TR Arbeiter or worker, lowest rank from about 1941 on.
    13. What about the pink tabs with, I think a green border? Similar to the unknown pair in the gallery. I seem to recall seeing a pair recently somewhere else and the owner assummed they were HG panzer. Happy to have found this forum. Eric
    14. I don't get it. Pink like engineer pink but they are panzer? I am new to this forum and collecting luft tabs and boards but not new to collecting. I like this forum much better than WAF where I have belonged for years. This is much more organized and tidy.
