    1. Don You are right. The cluster appears identical. It is hard to get by without reference data when at markets and shows. I'll never forget the DAV brooch I passed over for lack of reference only to find out later it was a good one. I have yet to see the seller or another example of the badge "live" since. Robert PS I can move this to the data base if you would like.
    2. Here is another I got my hands on yesterday. On our way home from my son's little league game I thought I would stop at the antique and collectible market that we pass by. Without Don's great database for guidance I took the plunge anyway. It just felt right in hand and showed signs of honest wear. Maybe I got lucky? Robert
    3. I just noticed on Don's first example the wings of the V are the same width and in his second and mine the left wing of the V is marginally wider than the right wing. Can anybody find any other diferences? Lets see some more examples of this rare badge.
    4. Gents And here is mine. I acquired this at a show last weekend w/o benefit of any reference material in hand. That is a major drawback to buying on-line where you have all of your resources right in front of you. I had to rely on memory. How did I do? Have a good Sunday gents. Robert
    5. Claymore Keep up the good work. I have a few more SA to post. Here is a mate for Nick's post 1206......except in enamel. have a nice weekend. Robert
    6. Here is my example. A match to James. Robert PS Notice the distinctive 9 in our seriel numbers.
    7. Gents This one is a great example of Gleichschaltung. As you can see, you have the RDHdw, RNS, and the DAF gear without the Haken Kreuz. Have a nice day. Robert
    8. Alex This is a spotters' badge you show. And very sorry sir but it is a stinker. There is only one maker of these, it should have a seriel number and the attaching pin plate is wrong as well. Others can chime in as well. Cheers Robert
    9. This one is more meeting my fancy. Although hard to see, it is marked B. H. Mayer Pforzeim. Volsmusiktag Boden See Radolfzell 1938. Quite a nicely designed tinnie if I do say so myself. Cheers
    10. Nick and Claymore have some real jewels here on display. I personally don't have too many SA but I grabbed one yesterday at a show. Must participate. Kampftage Der Frankischen SA. And Nick, those are fine and rather uncommon pieces you have shown. Youhave done well. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    11. I would suspect they were producing these as fast as they could when membership soared. Is there any data at all available with regards to the volume of examples produced for this or any maker? Thanks for looking. Robert
    12. James and Don No maker mark to be found anywhere. It measures 3 mm.? across. About the same size as the party Day badges. James, did you happen to see Don's blue example. I had that one in hand and was very impressed. Massive is the word. I held my standard member's badge in one hand and the 3-D blue in the other and there is no comparison. Don, have you wheighed the blue one yet as opposed to the standard badge? Robert PS And James I for one are glad you are here and able to post. I am sure others agree as well.
    13. Gents A recent flea market find. One of my favorite designs in organizational badges......and tinnies as well. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    14. Gents I was looking over my party pins today and found a curiosity with the M marks on my Ferdinand Wagners. Take a look and tell me what you think. The M on one of them has a visible tilt to it. have a nice weekend. Robert
    15. Mr. Rosenberg I would venture a guess that your example would be an early version and nice it is. Peter, I have one like yours which I have to find and post.
    16. Nice Type IV Don. Here is my Type III No maker mark but only patent protected.
    17. Thank you Ed. Other than what I have from my Father, this is my first US piece. The baltimore & Ohio RR 100 year good luck token is my favorite because it has a 1933 wheat penny in the center which is the 100th anniversary. Sorry off-topic. Thanks again. Robert
    18. I should show the reverse too.
    19. Gents I have never been over here but I was at a garage sale and picked this up along with a couple of Wendell L. Willkie 1940 presidential buttons and a 1933 Baltimore and Ohio RR commerorative coin. I think this is a victory medal from WW1. If not could you set me straight. Thank You and have a nice weekend. Robert
    20. I finally got around to scanning the RZM stamp on the other side of this. No manufacturer number however. Robert
    21. Josef Goebbels Jugendherberge and stuck using US currency. Unreasonable exchange rate + unreasonable prices = relative inactivity. Thanks for showing men. Robert
    22. Andy Thank You. It is funny you mention THE NAZI ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN as I am reading that one at the present time. After that, MOTHERS IN THE FATHERLAND by Claudia Koonz and finally, NAZI GERMANY: ITS WOMEN AND FAMILY LIFE by Clifford Kirkpatrick published in 1938. Much to read. Shelly Baranowski had recomended MOTHERS IN THE FATHERLAND as I was looking for a good overview of Frau Scholtz-Klink. Ms. Baranowski also mentioned her work STRENGTH THROUGH JOY is now available in paperback. I am promoting only a lower cost of said work as opposed to hardcover. Thanks Again for your help. Robert
