Don You are right. The cluster appears identical. It is hard to get by without reference data when at markets and shows. I'll never forget the DAV brooch I passed over for lack of reference only to find out later it was a good one. I have yet to see the seller or another example of the badge "live" since. Robert PS I can move this to the data base if you would like.

Here is another I got my hands on yesterday. On our way home from my son's little league game I thought I would stop at the antique and collectible market that we pass by. Without Don's great database for guidance I took the plunge anyway. It just felt right in hand and showed signs of honest wear. Maybe I got lucky? Robert

James and Don No maker mark to be found anywhere. It measures 3 mm.? across. About the same size as the party Day badges. James, did you happen to see Don's blue example. I had that one in hand and was very impressed. Massive is the word. I held my standard member's badge in one hand and the 3-D blue in the other and there is no comparison. Don, have you wheighed the blue one yet as opposed to the standard badge? Robert PS And James I for one are glad you are here and able to post. I am sure others agree as well.

Thank you Ed. Other than what I have from my Father, this is my first US piece. The baltimore & Ohio RR 100 year good luck token is my favorite because it has a 1933 wheat penny in the center which is the 100th anniversary. Sorry off-topic. Thanks again. Robert

Gents I have never been over here but I was at a garage sale and picked this up along with a couple of Wendell L. Willkie 1940 presidential buttons and a 1933 Baltimore and Ohio RR commerorative coin. I think this is a victory medal from WW1. If not could you set me straight. Thank You and have a nice weekend. Andy Thank You. It is funny you mention THE NAZI ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN as I am reading that one at the present time. After that, MOTHERS IN THE FATHERLAND by Claudia Koonz and finally, NAZI GERMANY: ITS WOMEN AND FAMILY LIFE by Clifford Kirkpatrick published in 1938. Much to read. Shelly Baranowski had recomended MOTHERS IN THE FATHERLAND as I was looking for a good overview of Frau Scholtz-Klink. Ms. Baranowski also mentioned her work STRENGTH THROUGH JOY is now available in paperback. I am promoting only a lower cost of said work as opposed to hardcover. Thanks Again for your help. Robert
