    1. Josef Goebbels Jugendherberge and stuck using US currency. Unreasonable exchange rate + unreasonable prices = relative inactivity. Thanks for showing men. Robert
    2. Andy Thank You. It is funny you mention THE NAZI ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN as I am reading that one at the present time. After that, MOTHERS IN THE FATHERLAND by Claudia Koonz and finally, NAZI GERMANY: ITS WOMEN AND FAMILY LIFE by Clifford Kirkpatrick published in 1938. Much to read. Shelly Baranowski had recomended MOTHERS IN THE FATHERLAND as I was looking for a good overview of Frau Scholtz-Klink. Ms. Baranowski also mentioned her work STRENGTH THROUGH JOY is now available in paperback. I am promoting only a lower cost of said work as opposed to hardcover. Thanks Again for your help. Robert
    3. Gents Herr Schemm has a replaced attaching pin as well. Aside from the fact that the pin is off-center, the soldering iron got a little too close......hence the burn mark above and to the right of his ear. Take care Robert
    4. Gents I want to chime in here a little if I can. I show the reverse of my Colonialtag tinnie. This is a re-attachment of the pin. The reason I know this is that I had it re-attached after it was mailed to me with the pin off of it. I also have others that have been repaired that show over heating black burns on the fronts from gtting the piece too hot when repairing. I will show when time permits. Take care Robert PS Nick perhaps scan 5 is a repair as the attaching pin is not completely vertical. To repair, one has to hold pin vertically and solder at the same time. Not the easiest thing to do IMHO.
    5. Gents This one has been kicking around here for quite some time. I have heard about various issues concerning its' authenticity. The issue for me is that I very rarely if ever see these available for sale on delaer sites, shows or flea market stalls unlike the HJ/Japan 1942 which I see quite often. Show me your example if you care or dare and have a nice weekend. Robert
    6. Don I have to like the way the yellow enamelling combines with the red enamel border. That is a seldom seen combination on a very seldom seen badge. Thanks for showing. Robert
    7. Gents I have one of these as well but I have to dig it out. If I recollect correctly mine has a difernt maker. I will post tommorow as I have snow to remove now outside. Robert
    8. Mr. Claymore Thank you for looking that one up for me. At some point, I need to allocate funds for more reference books. I tend to spend on historical research on the period and the organizations and not on the badges themselves. I just finished HITLER AND THE PEASANTS by Gustavo Conti. A rather hard to find, well researched work on Darre and the RNS. Here is an early one before the ascent .........dynamic times
    9. Eckeseyer Volksfest 1938 Mr. Claymore, would you mine looking in Tieste and seeing if that one is listed? I have nothing on this one. Thank You Robert
    10. Benten You are exactly right. N.S.-Hago not NSBO. I confuse the 2 organizations all of the time. I have one somewhere with NSBO to DAF. I will post it. Mr. Claymore If you don't MIND me saying so, you are doing a good job with your tinnies so far. I would suggest that before you go ahead and purchase one, just take the time to go thru the database here and on other forums for comparisons sake. You can see the error I made on the first post of the previous page. I knew I had seen it before but I was too lazy and a little too impulsive to take the time to find a posting of said tinnie. I inspected it when I received it and put it in my riker and even went so far as to e-mail the seller to say everything is OK. Only after posting here did Pete mention that she was missing an arm! Embarassing? You better beleive it! I was too lazy to take the time to search for another image. Have a nice weekend and feel free to ask for help. Robert PS What made my situation worse is that the area where the arm was brken off wasn't bent in any way. I evn inspected it with a loup. Early Darre's RNS
    11. Gents Would you happen to know the exact title of this publication so I could try to lay my hands on it. The only title I have is WOMEN IN NAZI GERMANY by this author. Thank You Robert
    12. Gents Finally, a little activity. Mr. Claymore, that is an uncommon tinnie you have there and very nicely designed. I personally am very fond of the early tinnies with the upright haken kreuz. I can only imagine how dynamic and exhilirating (sp) how do you spell that word?) the early years of the TR was! Thanks for sharing that one. here is an early/transitional tinnie with both the NSBO and DAF symbols with both Haken Kreuz designs. Dr. Ley is on his way! Thanks for re-awakening this great database. Robert PS Mr. Claymore, your not going to blow up on us are you? HA HA
    13. Gents Like opinions and you know what else, just about everybody has one of these. This would be a transitional TR membership badge I suspect. Also, I have only ever seen these in button-hole version. Cheers Robert
    14. Gents If memory serves, Rugen was also the site of a large luxury KdF hotel. Not completed due to war. Perhaps it became military lodging? This is all I know. have a nice weekend. Robert
    15. Don If you like, you can move mine next to Chris' to show the differences. Good research! Robert
    16. Gents I like to look at this one when it starts to snow. Time to wax the runners. Cheers Robert
    17. Benten Thanks for the interesting links and showing that finely detailed tinnie. Tell me if you could is it a solid or hollow? I have never seen this one before. And now it seems that both areas are in dire need of revival. Gelsenkirchen and Ost Preussen that is. Robert
    18. Sportappell Der Betriebe 1939 All appendages intact! Have A Nice Day Robert
    19. Here is an NSKG I have. Don, yours is in a lot nicer condition and I also wonder about C. Poellath Berlin marking. Cheers Robert
    20. Benten I know nothing of this badge but the design is beautiful. It is funny that you mention Beuel as there are some folks over here with that same last name. Perhaps when arriving at Ellis Island, the immigration official, not knowing the language, assigned the last name to the new immigrants from the paperwork stating where they were from. If you have ever seen the movie THE GODFATHER, there is a scene were he is assigned The name Corleone by the Irish officer because that is the area he came from. I often have questions about my own last name being assigned to my Grandparents when they arrived here long ago. Thanks for showing that green beauty. have a nice weekend. Robert
