    1. Brian Don't feel like the lone ranger. Thanks to you and Don for posting your 1944. Robert
    2. Yes Don I did notice that. Also, his example is unmarked. The 1942 I have is marked Alois Klammer. I can dig it out and scan but it will take me a while to find it. I can't exactly recall where I stashed it. I put it with my M9 Fire Brigade First Class in my garage crawl space but am unsure where. Robert
    3. Don The logic behind 1944 makes sense. Also, are there any photos of the round badge in wear from any of the years this badge was "awarded"? Cone only shows a photo of the badge itself. Cheers Robert
    4. Hello Brian If possible, is there any way you can put up an image of your badge from front and back? I am curious to see a 1944. The 1944 I have seen and hels was not concave but flat and a darker color. Thank You Robert
    5. Gents And the year on the round badge more often than not is 1942. I do see this for sale and sold by "reputable collectors/dealers" for $100 US+. I called one dealer/collector on this and got some of the most blatant "pretzel logic" I had ever been fed. I still have his e-mail saved to this day. I own a 1942 example but will not put it in with my collection or talk my way to a sale. If anyone would like a copy of said mail, just let me know. Take Care Robert
    6. IMHO Fritz Zimmermann did some of the nicest red pebbling work of all. I have one of their party badges M1/72. Thanks to all for showing and have a nice weekend. Robert
    7. Don Sorry, my mistake. Only green and red. I must be thinking of something else or maybe that Theseare faked so heavily (with oval Hoffstatter pin attachment) that I begin to see things. There are even some European dealers of renown who sell the oval attachment plate as original! My mistake. have a nice weekend. Robert
    8. Don Nice find! Now all we need is the blue varaition I beleive to complete the set. Thanks for sharing. Robert
    9. Nick Your example appears to be a match to Alex's example. Cheers Robert
    10. The Wagner is a real beauty. Good job and thanks for showing. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    11. Notice how my Type I has a more rounded and not quite so oval pin plate. It is not completely round but not as oval as the other. It has a lot nicer in hand feel too. Another wonder.
    12. Gents, A little quiet indeed. I thought perhaps everyone was cleaning up after the big wind. I viewed some very saddening footage on European Journal this morning. In fact, I beleive a certain brand new structure in Berlin had its' facade blow off. Here are my type I and Type II NSLB. I like the design of these badges except for the attaching pin set-up. I hope all is well over there and your lives haven't been too rattled. Take Care Robert
    13. Alex I am a little embarassed to even show my example of this badge but here goes. The superior detail and markings would lead me to logically assume that perhaps your badge was worn by either a leader or at least a member of the NSDAP or perhaps a participant in the festivities. My zinker pales in comparison in every way. Examples such as mine are found in almost every junk box at flea markets here in the States. Other than the one you have just shown, I have never seen one of such quality. Thanks for showing and have a nice weekend. Robert PS Out of curiosity, are you able to add to your collection via veteran bring backs? Were Soviet soldiers permitted to bring home booty?
    14. Mr. Smirnof The 1938 Party Day badge has got to be the most mint example I have ever seen before. The quality of the image is outstanding. I will dig my example out and post. You can actually see the muscle definition in the calf! Robert PS I often wonder how a badge such as this has survived for almost 70 years and remained in such pristine condition.
    15. Notice the diferent pebbling of all the diferent makers. Waht is your favorite? And Benten and Mr. Rosenberg, you don't have one of these? have a nice weekend everybody. Robert
    16. That is a good question Don. There is one of these at another forum for sale at this time by a notoriously slow seller/shipper with only ges.gesch. marking but below where the needle attaches. Lets hope to hear from others.
    17. Gents Here is my example of a RAD officer's cap badge. What impresses me most is the quality of the enamel work. Nicely marked as well. Unfortunately one prong is gone probably when torn off the cap for a souvenir. A Yancy Irwin acquisition. Robert
    18. Gents I thought I would add a stick-pin version of this badge. As you can see there is only ges.gesch. on the reverse. Are any members having an example with the RAD triangle and/or maker's name or logo? Have a Good Day. Robert
    19. Don I personally have never seen a buttonhole version before. That is very nice and I can only imagine how and with what attire it was worn. That is quite a gem sir. Bravo! Have a nice weekend. Robert
    20. I can only admire these badges you guys show and add nothing furthur as I still as yet have not added any to my collection. Nice pieces gents. Robert
    21. Joe Thanks for showing some of you WHW. I agree with Benten about the paper piece. It amazes me how well it has survived all of these years. It looks as if it spent about 50 years in between the pages of a book. Do you remember how it came into your collection? Happy New Year All Robert
    22. I got this one yesterday morning at an antique market. Kreistag Esch-Alzig 1942. One of the more massive I have. I would go as far to say that it is even more massive than the early Party Day badges. Happy New Year! Robert
