    1. Absolutely not the same. Now what? The one I received would be a lower grade condition-wise. This is not what I saw on his website. Any recommendations on what I should do? [attachmentid=44540]
    2. [attachmentid=44539] Well the medallion arrived very quickly. What concerns me is that I don't think it is the same one that was shown for sale on Weitz's site. Please take a look and tell me what you think. The one I received is not in the same condition as the one on the site. Thanks for your help. Robert
    3. [attachmentid=44297]The other side.
    4. [attachmentid=44296]Gents I am not really sure if this is the right section for this posting. It does meet certain criteria though and it has a certain degree of historical signifigance. Please remove if not in correct section. Robert
    5. Yes Don. With only Husken to go by I just had to rely on "honest wear" which it seems to have. No NSV brooch at market today. I did pick up a Munchen Olympic medallion for $1. Not our time period but much historical signifigance. Robert
    6. [attachmentid=44293][attachmentid=44294] I just want to say what a great thread this is. There are a few I have never seen other than in pictures or drawings. Here is a pin I just recently picked up. I hadn't seen it before and i thought a Swastika and Cross together on the same piece was rasther unique and a great conversation item. I am not especially fond of its lack of markings but with the Third Reich merely tolerating Christianity and not sponsoring it I decided to add it to my collection. If you have an example please do show it. I am curious if there are any marked examples out there. Thanks again to all who show their rare treasures. It's a real treat. Robert
    7. That is a First-Class right? I have the classic M/9 Kolwitz faker buried deep in a seldom opened drawer somewhere. Out of sight out of mind. The First-Class fire badges are extremely rare if I'm not mistaken.
    8. Gents Set now completed! Thanks for the info Ralph. Robert
    9. That is a nice one Don. I viewed the reverse first and thought you had posted an RLB. It amazes me how the designer of this badge ever-so-subtly (sp) incorporates a swastika on this piece. Would this organization be the TR version of the DOB? On furhtur inspection I notice that an RLB has 5 little points between each point. Fooled at first glance. Congrats on a nice uncommon piece.
    10. perhaps I should move the image to another section about nonportable awards. Maybe John Bart or Warlord would know whatgoes inside the box. For now the badge will go with my tinnies and the box will be empty awaiting the chance to be occupied by the right piece. Thank you gents. Also, Mr. Rosenberg, is that an authentic Fire Brigade badge I see above your name? Have a good day all. Robert
    11. [attachmentid=43778][attachmentid=43779] Now for what was inside. Authentic? Fantasy? Maybe something else belongs in it? Someone else have one? Thanks for looking to all. Robert
    12. [attachmentid=43777] Now for the bottom of the lower half of the box.
    13. Now for the inside of the bottom portion. What throws me off a little is that the cotton has the same color tone as the box itself.
    14. [attachmentid=43775] Gents I would like you guys to take a look at this and tell me what you think. I will show the little box first and the tinnie last. Here we go. I have not seen one of these before. First the top portion of the box.
    15. Did anybody happen to see our favorite Friday update dealer's example today. A beat-up membership book and a buggered pin for all of $245 US!! And for that price you get a lot of free solder. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    16. Pat Looks like a keeper to me. Nice enamel and correct markings. Congrats to you. Robert
    17. [attachmentid=42764][attachmentid=42765]Gau Berlin 1926-1936
    18. Don They are nice and in great condition. Have you tried translating the script on them? Maybe they are donation receipts. Just a guess. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    19. NS-Hago E. F. Wiedmann, Frankfurt Anyone have an example for comparison. I am curious because this one doesn't have the M1 designation. I do know this organization is early. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    20. [attachmentid=42620]Sorry I don't do requests. Only Home On The Range and Jingle bells. Maybe after a few beers I'll try Licckensteiner Polka!
    21. I will try my best not to "hog" up too much file space. It is hard to beleive this is almost 70 years old.
    22. Nice Pete. That KdF Gau Essen would look nice hanging on my Christmas tree. Robert PS Did you happen to take a look at my enamel Sangergau Kurhessen on another thread? Would you consider that a tinnie? It is so well made. I wouldn't think the expense would merit manufacture although you really never know. Will post more soon. Here is the Sangergau[attachmentid=42394][attachmentid=42395]
