    1. Nice set, Rich. Johan, is that Juncker 'SW68' marked?
    2. Not one in the collection but have seen a few and have a few on file.. You may well be right that they are RO/AG's with the bolts removed, but I think probably at the factory making it hard to tell as the job has been so well done leaving no signs of the bolts. Hopefully one of the members will have an example to show us.
    3. The "Big Apple" does it again..
    4. , V... Have amended. Looking forward to your additions.
    5. Hi Johan Early examples were made of tombak/buntmetal but the majority will be of zinc. Examples found with the bolts removed were done when orders were issued for the new classification of Air Gunner/Flight Engineer (Without Bolts). By the same order, those who were Air Gunners and holders of the Radio Operator/ Air Gunner?s badge (With Bolts) had to have the bolts removed to meet the new regulations. Radio Operators continued to wear the version with bolts. The unqualified (Black wreath/Silver eagle) version will only be found in zinc.
    6. My respects, Doug. That is quite a collection you're amassing.
    7. A very warm welcome to the club, johannes... I, for one, look forward to seeing more of your collection, and if this beautiful "Deumer" Observer is anything to go by, we are in for a treat. A very nice example.
    8. Martin, If you want to save a copy of this rank chart to your computer, place your curser over the chart, right-click your mouse and then click on "Save as". Choose a folder that you want to save the file to, click "save" and there you have it. Any problems...let me know.
    9. Hi Tom, Looks good to me. Do you have this piece in hand? I notice from the pic below that there may have been a repair to the wreath. It's quite common for these clasps to have cracked wreaths and signs of period repairs. If it has a repair, it?s been well done and is covered by the eagle so doesn?t detract from the overall look of the piece.
    10. Hi de hi, Rich... For materials used (nickel silver), superb construction and design, it has to the the 'Gustav Brehmer'.
    11. Dave. A quick group shot of my flock. Assmann (top left), ball hinge (middle), Brehmer (right) Wernstein (bottom left), Juncker (middle), S&L (right)
