Soviet Post WW1 Award
ph3s replied to Obergefreiter's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
I would second it and when the WW1 ended, Russia was already in the middle of Civil War, there were other awards, other events. -

Soviet Replacement Hammer & Sickle for OGPW's
ph3s replied to Hauptmann's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Dan if I were you I would go for brass one from cap stars, as veterans done long time ago. You can find gold made ones, but the problem with that you need to research and find exactly the same H&S :speechless: -

I don't think so, the guy on the photo is actual sergeant imho , would try to find more info about this person. and another photo, just to keep thread going Mikhail Belski , second bravery got for Japan
-
It's an original, only one think, It's not Georgian it's Abkhasian ASSR. I know a dealer who have one for sell right now with doc would respectfully disagree about the prises, regionals are more rare hence more expensive than Supreme Dan. Suprime and 1st BSSR (Belarus) are genuine, rest of them -not

I don't like the it either. But for you attention gents. The recipient is the cool guy. It's not in my collection. But the person who shared it got it from family and I have no reson to don't belive him
-
well that could happened, recipient could add his/her photo later on, no restrictions, but as one colleague mentioned 'if a person in SU woud get a picture of himself for the award booklet-he would wear actual awards in that photo'
-
last three entries in booklet added later, different handwriting, OG2 has to shiny gilding, imo
