Dear Gents, what do you think on originality of this DSWA-medal for non-combatants. The medal is made of nickel-plated (?) bunt-metal. What is it: a modern fake or production of time of the Third Reich? Thanks in advance!

The basic difference - proportions of white and red strips on a ribbon. I understand that frequently Medal bar makers didn't see distinctions between the ribbons. But it is impossible to exclude a variant with hessian LS-medal in the absence of other hessian awards. For example, just remember the medal bar, which was shown by Claudio with baden LS-medals in the absence of other baden awards: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=45102 Why not?

But it seems to me, that the fourth band is not ТWМ's band. It is a band of the Gessian LS medal.

The winner for sure was from Sax-Coburg-Gotha. In 1920 Saxen-Coburg-Gotha became a part of Bavaria. Under the circumstances can be explained presence of the the Bavarian Red Cross medal, which was founded in 1924.
