    8. Hello Gentlemen, Picked up this badge at the weekend - RDK Badge (Reichsbund der Kinderreichen Deutschlands zum Schutze der Familie) Tombak measures 2,5cm nice looking badge. A couple of questions, do any members know anything about this organization ? from the title, I take it, it had something to do with the welfare / protection of large German families. I gather the RDK was divided into numerous sub sections, and the badges were colour coded according to position in the organization, looking through my Hüsken Handbook, I'm a little unsure which level the red badge had (1) Membership (2) Kreiswart (3 Landesleiter . The reverse has a marking of intertwined FW inside a rectangle. Any information on the red badge level would be appreciated. I'll try and run the organization through google later on in the day. Cheers

    11. Thanks for the compliment Pete - bought a small stash of tinnies, a couple of weeks ago, some are already posted on threads, so I won't be putting these up again, but some have not been shown on any threads at all - like this one - another HJ Treffen - Lauingen - 22 - 23. 1934 Metal measures 2,6cm x 4,6cm
    12. First 2010 - HJ Tinnie HJ Treffen - Unterbann Lauingen 16-17 Sept. 1933 Metal - measures 3cm x 4,8cm
    13. Hello Pete, Thanks for your post, I was beginning to wonder about this particular tinnie, as its not shown in my Tieste catalog - admitidly its not the latest one - third edition, but as you say there are two variants of the tinnie in circulation, I thought one would of made it into the catalog. Anyway, thanks for the extra information, Regards
    14. Small (2,8cm x 3,5cm) metal tinnie commemorating (I think ) withdrawal of allied occupation troops from Pfalz - 1924 - 1934
    15. Hi Irishgunner, Thanks for the posts, I posted the badge on a specialist WW1 forum and got a similar responce, information on groups meeting up but nothing definate, pining down a group on this particular - September 1935. Thinking about it and judging that people took the trouble, to produce a metal badge, it must have been a fairly large group to warrant so much effort. Perhaps someone will turn up further information -I'll let you know if they do. Cheers
    16. Hello, I'll have to keep my eyes open, if they were as plentiful as you say, should be able to pick some variants up, or perhaps members could post pictures of ones they have. Cheers
    17. Hi, Bought this small stick pin a couple of weeks ago. Measures 1,5cm x 1,5 with a miniature photo of Adolf in SA uniform, reverse is not stamped. Not certain, could it be for SA sympathizer ? anyone know for sure. Cheers
    18. Hello Everyone, Picked this tab up yesterday, cloth measures 6,7cm x 1cm. I believe its part of the brown shirts insignia, denoting the entry year of the member and was worn possibly on right arm, I don't know for certain, can any member tell me where it was worn for certain. Regards
    19. Hello Everyone, I've recently picked up this unlikely metal tinnie - English, German Front Soldiers Meeting - Sept. 1935 I never thought such a tinnie would be struck. Apparently there was a meeting of WW1 German & English Veterans in Sept 1935. I wonder if any member has any further information, I seem to remember old film of Hitler meeting in a semi official capacity former WW1 English Staff Officers in Germany, but I hadn't realized there were meetings between rank & file soldiers as well. Does any member have more information, perhaps where the meeting took place? Cheers
    20. Hi Bill, Thanks for the advice, I've bought moth repellent strips and packed the great coat, strips, and sealed them into a plastic transparent cover, the strips are good for six months, everything's in hand till the summer comes. Best Wishes Alec
    21. Hello Bill, Thanks for your post and the vote of confidence in the coat. Without trying to sound paranoid - I want too keep the coat in the best possible condition, I intend keeping it, in a zip up transparent plastic cover and putting mothballs in the pockets, but I'm concerned about the smell associated with mothballs. Do you protect your uniforms along these lines or is my thinking a bit old fashioned. Best Wishes Alec
    22. Hello William, Friday, I was at the military fair Reichertshofen, Bavaria, one of the things I bought is the Gendermerie Mantel - Overcoat shown, considering its age, the condition is very good, no tears, repairs and a fully intact lining, one thing it doesn't have is a maker's label. I think it kosher, do you see any issues with it ? if you need more photos let me know. Cheers
