It is certainly very nice to see and i think that when i once visit Portugal that these muesums certainly will be a must !!!I especially love the Hohenzollern pieces as can be seen, really stunning beauty's and for certain directly related toward sthe relation between Portugal and the Hohenzollern (princly) dynasty !!Thank you for sharing,
Eric Schena
Hi Christophe:Thank you very much for these great photos! I have always had a soft spot for Portuguese orders. The decoration that got me into phaleristics was in fact a collar to the Order of St. James of the Sword that I saw when I was in college. I eventually bought it and even got a grand cross sash, badge, and star to the order. While my interests are still mostly in Eastern Bloc material, there's just something about Portuguese decorations that captivates me.Cheers,Eric
Christophe
Thanks Stijn and Eric,These quickly done pics don't do justice to these orders that are real wonders !!!! Cheers.Ch.

Carol I
These are excellent pics .Thank you for the kind words, Christophe. How did you take them? Did you manage the box to be opened ?Nothing of the sort. I just put my camera on the top glass of the display box and let it do the rest (I was afraid that his would set off some alarm, but fortunately I had a small camera). It happened of course that I had to try several times to get a good picture, but generally it went OK. I have several other pictures taken there, but I did not know if people were interested in them or not.
