Gerd Becker Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 (edited) Nice, Andreas. 9th Cavalry had an interesting raid in 1942 with the 1st Guard Cavalry Corps under General Belov against the German Heeresgruppe Mitte. The germans had to send no less than seven divisions to get them out of their rear area. If you really don?t want it, i?ll take it Edited November 23, 2006 by Gerd Becker

NavyFCO Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 A vast majority of the late Red Stars that I've researched (my other interest - other than posthumous awards, of course) were awarded to veterans who were seriously wounded. I have yet to put my finger on the difference between who received the postwar Glory and who received the postwar Red Star for wounds though and what made the difference.Dave
