TerryG Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 (edited) Some of you may be interested in this new addition to my collection. It is unmarked, is vaulted and is a single-piece construction! Now looking for a 1939 model! Edited July 16, 2005 by TerryG
George Stimson Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 "Now looking for a 1939 model!"Then what you're looking for is this!
TerryG Posted July 17, 2005 Author Posted July 17, 2005 Very nice George! a perfect match I think. Have you got any theory as to why whoever made these, decided to go against the industry standard at the time, i.e. decided not to use a multi piece construction?
George Stimson Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Somewhere I have the name of a manufacturer who is supposed to have made these, based on similar hardware on some identified war badges. I'll have to look for it. In the meantime, here's the same hinge/pin/catch setup on an unmarked KVK with swords.
Bob Hunter Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Is there any speculation about who made these EKIs with textured finish?
George Stimson Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 There is, but I can't find the name right away. (I hope to God it's not on a scrap of paper on my desk!)
