The following is taken from the letter of authentication that I received from the seller. he is the son of a war criminal and livs in South and central America.

"This letter is to authenticate the origins of the 1941/1942 Campaign Medal awarded to participants in the Winter Moscow campaign of 1941/42. This particular medal is crafted in 18K gold and was awarded to only a select few of the recipients. My father, ,,SS? ObersturmbannFuhrer Joachim Stuletki, received this medal for his leadership and participation as a line officer assigned to the Sonderkommando 4a, of Einsatzgruppe C, Russia 1941-42.

For his actions with Einsatzgruppe C, my father was placed on Simon Wiesenthal?s list of SS officers wanted for war crimes. My father and I escaped to Bolivia in 1946 and I have lived in Guatemala and the Canary Islands since 1957. As far as I know, my father?s name remains on Wiesenthal?s list."

Hard to catch people who didn't exist. :speechless:

But at least one can have the imaginary medal of an imaginary war criminal with an imaginary letter of "authentication."

Then again, anyone who thinks the Canary Islands are in Central OR South America... :banger:

What is the asking price on this rare award?

    Ahhh.... 1,800 dollars.

It looks like someone decided to ruin a REAL medal in the process... :(:banger::speechless1:
