mmiller Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Does anyone own any [rare] photos or Award Documents to the Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen. I've only seen one elsewhere, but I wonder if they are lurking in the collector's shadows! Please Post! Thanks, Mark

November 1943.Regards, Jody Edited February 17, 2007 by JBeltram
mmiller Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 Hi Jody,How long is the Article. Any chance you could scan that Doc image? Don't know if it's possible... Would it create any legal problems to post. Appreciate the interest in this badge. I should have picked up the one Jason was selling. I knew I'd regret it later. mmiller Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 Forget it Jody,The Doc would have to be increased in size so much that the quality would go to crap. Docs for these badges are "rare as hen's teeth".MarkHi Mark,It is really just pictures. I will try to scan it, but it may not turn out.Regards, Jody
Paul R Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I wonder why they are so rare... there were a lot of former fliers who could have worn it?
mmiller Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Paul,Good question. The Retired Pilot Badges are scarce. The award docs are even more scarce. It seems similar to the Condor Legion Tank badge. There are few original examples and not much period material to go on. The docs for the same..... how many do we know of? 2 or 3!Regards,MarkI wonder why they are so rare... there were a lot of former fliers who could have worn it?
