Bob Lyons Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 How about a 'Military Instructor' badge, worn over the top of the green and yellow arm patchBob
Tiger-pie Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 (edited) How about a 'Military Instructor' badge, worn over the top of the green and yellow arm patchBobGay... We have a similar thing in the Navy, and I'm guessing the RAAF do too. I left my instructor billet just before it became a requirement to wear a brassard in, get this, tri-service colours to identify us on a Naval base. I would have had to wear a badge similar to that on my shirt. A brassard is fine if you wear fatigues, or a shirt that has epalettes, but the twit who introduced it forgot that for six months of the year sailors wear short sleeve shirts with nothing to fix a brassard to. Paul R Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 With the air wings... what is the difference between the British and the Australian versions?
Tiger-pie Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 With the air wings... what is the difference between the British and the Australian versions?Very little really other than an extra "A". Some of the brevet badges for specialist i.e Engineer, have different letters to British type.Regards;Johnsy
Tiger-pie Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 RIMPAC 2006, (I'm hoping that I get onboard for 2008). Not sure why they were wearing DPCU fatigues onboard a ship, our Combat Coveralls have epaulettes, so wearing a brassard with them is no problem. Perhaps trying to look more "warrie".Regards;Johnsy
