naoki matsumoto Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Spanienkreuz Bronz. As for this bronze chapter, a sword is cut. I do not cut a solution for some reason. It is Unmarked. I do not cut a genuine article or an imitation or a solution. I found it in a curio shop.

Sal Williams Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Very odd the way the swords are cut but I can't see any advantage to faking that. Very interesting indeed!
Jacques Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 It is interesting to see how the eagles are soldered to the swords.

I found it in a curio shop.Thank you Sal & Jacqces! I value this. I thought this to be FAKE. My study was short. When it was produced, did it cut it to reinforce an eagle? Or why is it? I wondered.

Jacques Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Hi Naoki,These cut out swords have already been explained in this forum. To be simple, the most logical theory is that some manufacturers only used one die, with swords, and simply cut out the swords to make requested crosses. This could have been also made by the retailer's houses. I observed that i.e. Meybauer, Juncker didn't used special die for w/o swords crosses. Generally the swords are cut close to the circle, but sometimes, like your cross Naoki, they have been cut close to the eagles.jacques
