Bundesrepublik Sports Badges 1948 - 1952

Hi,

here are some seldom to be seen sports badges with DSA (Deutsches Sportabzeichen), in Bronze, Silber and Gold.

Awarded 1948 - 1952 in North Rhein-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein (1949) and Hamburg (1949).

Total awards 15,682. I don't know the figures for Silber and Gold, but the proportional distribution is estimated bronze 93%, silver 5% and gold 2%.

Thought that this may help with the award numbers. Award Book is for a female 1966 edition. Tried to post image but failed .Number for gold award issued Hamburg on 8 Dec 1966 was 3023

are you sure, that you are talking (writing) about the same badge with DSA?

 

1966 it must be a DSB sports badge on the document, and not a DSA.

Very nice badges Uwe. I've seen the DSB versions but until now I hadn't seen these DSA versions. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of the rear of the badges please.
